Remember Ice-T's group 'Body Count'? They released a song titled 'Cop Killer' that got Tipper Gore's PMRC's (Parents Music Resource Center) panties up in a bunch so a lot of records sold at retail outlets in '92 were censored to avoid the added cost of affixing the Parental Advisory warning on album covers and allow wider distribution.
i never knew that was the reason, but i remember getting a few albums from around that time. sometimes they had stickers but some stuff was still censored anyway, i'm sure Tribe had 'nikka' and some swear words blanked out here & there on LET but it was sporadic, some songs would have it & some wouldn't

Cause if you REALLY listened to what them cats was actually spittin that shyt was havin you rollin and noddin your head all throughout the album

They are far from gimmicky. They had actual skills! Fushnikins on the other hand![]()
...that was my rugged days...timbo & champion hoodies with the cone heads...
I will be the first to properly administer goof troop 90's acts to the bushes. PHAT bushes even. But every time i hear Das Efx i lose my goddamn mind. I distinctly recall my peoples moms driving our young asses around knocking the Das record.
I also recall the exclusive Das bootleg that had mad other versions. I almost tricked a older cat out of that tape. almost only counts in horse shoes & hand grenades.
Tom--Tom J in the house.......PMD had a white Das Efx in the stash:
why just the first record breh?lets keep this about the first record please....
