Most of the reason he got heat is because Punk shytted on his push on the podcast. Then everyone paid attention when Bryan was tossed ultra early in the 2015 Rumble.

Worst of all, he didn't actually shyt on Roman or even his push at all. He shyt on the creative team telling repeatedly telling him to make Roman look strong as if he didn't know what his job was or how to do it. That's what he was bytching about. But wrestling fans aren't always the smartest group of crayons in the light socket.

Which was punk point in this promo
The fans are no better then the company they sabotage the show and are just as much fans of themselves as they are for the darlings rheychampion yet they would be the first ones to run up to all those wrestlers to sign a shirt or take a picture and then go online to shyt on the mm and the company but still watch and invest time and money in to it despite complaining nonstop

Punk was a spoke on the wheel that decided he was tired of being their and seeing no real change and ironically he allowed Bryan to get a shot and a chance to be great (despite being frail) and various others who all came from the same position as Indy made guys as punk did

Remember punk was one of the few Indy guys who actual kept his name and fought for a lot of guys and chances for guys when all they wanted was ex footballers and models

Punk didn't fight for anyone but himself his entire career. Don't buy into his martyr gimmick shyt. Dude was always out for himself from day one

shyt - to me, he's the guy they were missing when they were trying to get Roman over for this singles run. :yeshrug:

I don't know if there's anyone else on the main roster who could have talked his way into being the heel in that feud when the crowd is dying to boo Reigns.

The  promos based on the fact that yet another person was getting the big push over him would have been :ohlawd:
Punk v Reigns is WM caliber, life rivalry, draw-all-di-money type shyt:noahroman:

I look at it this way - people will always react to Batman (Roman) giving a monster like Killer Croc (Brock) or Solomon Grundy (Braun) the hands, but they lose their shyt for him facing off against the Joker, because they have that history and depth to their interactions. Punk is the only person I can imagine playing his Joker.

Punk-san forever working wrestling nerds into shoots.....

but yeah...to add to the argument, the pipebomb was revolutionary at its time. Punk was name dropping promotions, wrestlers, and shytting on the product on live TV. Sure the following promos were a tad bit sloppy but they still were effective, especially during that god awful era. Lets face it, Punk was a breath of fresh air to the WWE and as always WWE shyts on anything that will bring them out of the personal carny hell that they put themselves in.
