the dude just makes "different" sounding music by usin different elements from different regions.

goldie, pmw, jodye, lvl, phoenix, wftn might have southern elements with that chopped and screwed voice he does at times, but he takes shyt to the next level.. where it doesnt have a distinct regional sound and sounds fresh

Just that Wild For The Night is a dub step song, not New York 'style' anything, Skrillex is from California.

I dont like dubstep, but I like that song and understand why he made it.. it gained him exposure to a larger demographic and internationally. some chick i know who loves psychedelics and goes to all those bonnaroo hippie festivals and i would never expect to listen to Rocky loves him. it did its purpose.
