His o-line is ass. I need to see his first
contact yardage .
Jeanty has 81 rushing yards on the season with 84 rushing yards after contact.

He also has 3 receiving yards with 26 yards after contact.

Raiders OL is awful and Chip Kelly needs to be fired. He’s getting hit behind the line every time he touches the ball

my sense is he's trying to adjust & that clip of him giving up on his blocking assignment was doubt taking physical form

at this level he can't bully cats or blow by them the same way & before reaching the pros he probably never had many situations where he couldn't just out athlete 99.9% of his opponents

it's only all time gifted players that can get to the pros & still roll over or roll by defenders consistently

The pass blocking thing is huge.

I remember watching young Zeke and young Emmitt and that was ALWAYS a positive aspect of their game. It's why they stayed on the field so much. Quickest way for a RB to lose touches is half-azzing blitz pickup.

Usually it's a situation where the RB isn't studying film and doesn't know what to do.

Ashton knew EXACTLY where to be...so clearly he knows what's going on...but his heart wasn't in it. He was so used to getting the rock at BSU, that this aspect of his game wasn't as important.

Youngin will be fine but you can't show that kind of shyt on tape anymore.

Yeah that's huge for a RB. If you can't pass block you directly endanger the QB and that's going to severely hamper your playing time

yup

this is where he's going to find out his real place in the hierarchy

when you no longer have the physical advantage can you compete & dominate off will¿

Ryan Clark declaring there's nothing special about him after 2 games and comparing him to Trent Richardson was insane. Were the Raiders stupid as shyt for wasting the number 6 pick on a RB that can't pass protect and offers nothing in the passing game? Obviously.

But you gotta give him more than 2 games. :mjlol:

Like it took 2 years and some change for Derrick Henry to finally become Derrick Henry. I'm not saying Jeanty is that caliber of talent but he needs time to find his footing and adjust to playing against superior athletes. Also, RB is a very overrated position that's utterly dependent on a great O-Line and QB. Saquon, Derrick Henry and James Cook don't have the seasons they just did on a bad team.

Whatever good will and credibility Clark had in previous years at ESPN has been nuked over the last 9 months. Every month he's saying or doing something stunningly stupid. He's adopting the type of bullshyt that ESPN's NBA coverage is built on. It's nauseating...

I was not a Jeanty guy going into the draft. I was concerned about his snap counts in college and whether he was run into the ground when compared to guys like Hampton. But after TWO games, during which he has not been highlighted at all by the play calling, and behind a questionable o-line....making definitive statements on him right now is stupid.

It's a team sport, it's like saying receivers are overrated cause they are "utterly dependent on a QB". "QB overrated cause he's dependent on receivers and O-line", "O-line overrated cause they are irrelevant if the running game or passing game is trash" etc.

As far as Ryan Clark goes, it's clear that has he has chosen to go the drama/hot-take route not seldom treasured by ESPN. His whole MO is to make headlines and trend on twitter, probably gets bonuses based on how often that happens

I watched him in the Mountain West as a UNLV fan and he dominated against similar competition...as a Raider fan i will tell you if he had a better Oline he would be a game changer....hard to run when the DT is in the backfield every play :manny:
