Staying Positive, Getting Better Everyday. Holler!
Chinese philosophy, there's something that's enigmatic about it that western civilization cannot quite come to adapt as we've adapted quite a few things from the east, like their food.
But there is a lot of knowledge to be gained, shared, and adapted with the study of these mysterious philosophies.
Now, I began my thread with "Chinese" but realized exclusivity isn't the way per say. The Japanese have great philosophy as well.
How this thread came about, I was reading the Tao De Ching last night and stumbled upon something that blew my mind.
"The appearance of grand integrity
Is that it follows the Way alone.
The Way objectified
Is blurred and nebulous
How nebulous and blurred!
Yet within it there are images.
How blurred and nebulous!
Yet within it there are objects.
How cavernous and dark!
Yet within it there is an essence.
Its essence is quite real;
Within it there are tokens."
Now eventually, I would like to get this thread stickied because I believe it could be of great benefit for all of us, to instead of debating, to discuss, and to listen.
Philosophy can be good for all of us.
I will try to maintain this thread, with the things that I read. Please feel free to contribute and to discuss.
