You didn't read the post, or you don't understand and you're a cac so this convo is over
You were blabbering about how more mental health resources would solve this issue :russ:

fukk that.
better preventative measures need to be taken by the MTA and individuals.
it's 2022 and you're telling me that there is no kind of rising and lowering barrier that can stop this?
at the very least people should be required by law to wear a helmet whenever using mass transit.
breh does it have to be in every post? :dead:

The kirk to the fields
this would cost billions to retrofit stations with and can only be done on stations with CBTC train (basically trains that drive themselves like the 7 and L trains and most trains that run though terminals at airports) so that the train stops at the same exact spot every time to align perfectly with the doors.

It won’t happen in our lifetime. That much I know.
I've been in train stations like this on Hong Kong. They're great. Hong Kong's system is much smaller than NYCs. The price to do that here would be extremely high.

RIP to the victim here.

I'd be in favor of a waist high metal barricade if that's the case.

ANYTHING is better than nothing.

Damn I just got back from the city and got off the stop before. They announced they weren't stopping on 42 Street while I was on it. I never even walk towards the the train until it completely stops.

I wish trains would pull into stations slowly, but this is NYC, can't have any sort of delay before people start complaining.:francis:

Also platform barriers can be built, but again any sort of inconvenience is gonna have NY'ers crying. :francis:

#1 thing though is to help get rid of the mentally ill and homeless people in the subway and give them shelter/food/therapy etc.

That's another thing. This train push that happened in Brussels would most likely have been fatal in NYC :francis:
Ironically same shyt happened today in Brussels, thankfully the train conductor managed to break in time and the woman is ok

you mean this ?

That man is clearly mentally unstable

This isn't a crime issue this is a social welfare issue, and this shyt has been going on since the Guiliani Era when they started cutting the budget for the Dept of Health and Mental Hygiene.

There are THOUSANDS of mentally unwell homeless men and women roaming the subways

I've told ya'll many times on here about the whole "We need more housing" bullshyt in NYC...the housing is NOT for the homeless, it is for YOUNG WHITE AFFLUENT TRANSPLANTS

Enjoy your citibikes and bike lanes though...fukking dummies

personally i think that helmets should be as ubiquitous as masks.
no one has ever been hurt of killed because they had a helmet on.
many have died because they didn't.
sometimes i wear one around the crib if i feel particularly threatened but i always wear a helmet outside of the home.

Ayo man you a fukkin fool :russ:

RIP to this woman
