Affirmative Action will help their Southeast Asian Asian brethren funny enough:deadmanny:

They're heavily underrepresented at schools like Berkeley and Stanford. Think about it. When's the last time you seen a Filipino or a Cambodian at those colleges?

The East and South Asians' anti-blackness blinds them from helping their less privileged members of their community.

That's if they care about Southeast Asians in the first place :mjpls:

It''s mostly Chinese who r rallying against it. There are Asians who support the prop. . It's just that most ppl are unaware of it and these conservative groups quickly got in on campaignin against it.

Asian Americans Should Vote Yes on Prop 16. Here’s Why. – Western Center on Law & Poverty

I don’t care about what anyone is doing on reddit but this is an insanely stupid post and I’m not surprised by the type of people who dapped it because they’re insanely stupid people and have been on here for years. By your logic when white people rally to support Trump based on racism and ignorance it’s “good on them.” Unity in and of itself is not a good if what you’re unifying around is morally wrong. So basically every group should just advocate for the better of themselves and the disadvantage of others? That’s something to be proud of? How far do you want to go with that? Should black people who don’t have American born parents only advocate for other Africans ,Jamaicans, etc? I’m all for helping ones group but contributing to the subjugation of another is something different entirely.
Breh, I wish I could dap this post a million times. We get a ton of shyt about prop 8 (which was a fallacy) and no one comes to defend us. Other groups serve their own interests and they get a pat on the back.

Some black people want to be Republicans and you have these liberal CACs telling us to know our place on the Democratic plantation, whilst not checking their own like we’re a monolith.

I’m glad black people are starting to wake up from this “people of color” nonsense. These other “minorities” have a white supremacist mindset too.

This is why a society based purely on a meritocracy will always be flawed. In theory it makes sense, but its real world application will always benefit a select few if other social inequalities continue to exist, and is never addressed.
Exactly. We will never have an egalitarian society as long as nepotism is rife. That’s why I make sure I let all black people get up to speed with loopholes and advantages that others don’t know.

Other Groups do this ALL the time but then we get told we have to play fair, despite all the obstacles constantly put in our way.

Not to mention that in capitalistic societies, meritocracy literally doesnt exist. 90% of the advantages attained in Capitalism came at the expense of someone else. fukkers think "well we started at the same time as those n%gg34 :mjpls: so why should THEY get an advantage" when in reality if we stayed true to the racing allegory, Black People had no shoes to even run the fukking race and the very fact that we are RACING for advantages implies a artificial limit, someone is withholding these opportunities instead of them being available to all. Never occurs to those spineless slant eyed fakkits that the system is playing them too.

All of that said theres a good chance it will pass.

Washington State voted on a near identical measure called Referendum 88 and it lost by 1.12% (21k votes). And outside of Western Washington, Wa. State has little to no Black People and is WAY MORE :mjpls: in the Eastern Side of the State than even the most racist part of Cali. Also, even with Calis dwindling Black Population, the East Bay area and South Central LA probably have more Black folks than the entire state of Washington so the numbers are there, just gotta go and vote..

I like to think of them as Rodents..dont trust Asians for shyt. :yeshrug:
Some of them can be prettty shady. My first landlord was this Asian chick who tried to make me liable for damages that weren't cause by men. Thankfully I had taken pictures of the place so she backed off after I told her I would take her to court:yeshrug:.

I’m not sure how this harms Asians but if it does I’m not sure why people
Are upset they are fighting against something that increases competition for them ?

If Asians are already flourishing as a minority without Affirmative Action why would they want to add it ? They’ve built enough power and sway to fight against something and they’re doing it instead of blindly aligning themselves with the Democratic Party.

And here is the quiet part being said out loud....Affirmative Action doesn’t work anyway .

Do they also complain about the 400 years of oppression in the Americas, in particularly Northern America the 13 colonies that later became the 50 States, or more recently the 52 States of the USA? They always can go the f* back to the sh*t hole they came from.

John F Kennedy - Affirmative Action speech.

“That order called for the admission of two clearly qualified young Alabama residents who happened to have been born Negro.

[...]

“The Negro baby born in America today, regardless of the section of the Nation in which he is born, has about one-half as much chance of completing a high school as a white baby born in the same place on the same day, one-third as much chance of completing college, one-third as much chance of becoming a professional man, twice as much chance of becoming unemployed, about one-seventh as much chance of earning $10,000 a year, a life expectancy which is 7 years shorter, and the prospects of earning only half as much.”

“to each other that this is a land of the free except for the Negroes; that we have no second-class citizens except Negroes; that we have no class or cast system, no ghettoes, no master race except with respect to Negroes?”

Ive seen way too many supposed black members, be indifferent to Afimative actions, claiming white women benefits the most and pretty much they wouldn't lose sleep if it was gone...:francis:

Are we going to make the most of it? I'd like to see more of us in college, but let's keep it a buck, a lot of brehs end up washed out because they're not built for these schools, I'm cool with a black person getting the nod if they got similar scores, but theres really no reason why we can't make the grades, black folks dropped the ball when they gave us these initiatives initially. I think our sense of entitlement and lack of organized ambition is our biggest weakness. If I was Asian, I'd probably be mad too.

That is because they don't understand history. Affirmative Action was intended as Reparations. It's obvious that white women weren't minoraties before, but only became so after 1968 when Affirmative Action was implemented. One could say that Hillary Clinton for example became one of the early beneficiaries of something that was meant for Black people. She gave thanks by propagating that Black males are "super predators".

Black people now are the least likely group to make use of something that was meant specifically for the Black community (btw, not Black immigrants).

White women benefit most from affirmative action — and are among its fiercest opponents

Executive Order 10925 makes the first reference to “affirmative action”

President John F. Kennedy issues Executive Order 10925, which creates the Committee on Equal Employment Opportunity and mandates that projects financed with federal funds “take affirmative action” to ensure that hiring and employment practices are free of racial bias.

July 2, 1964
Civil Rights Act signed by President Lyndon Johnson

The most sweeping civil rights legislation since Reconstruction, the Civil Rights Act prohibits discrimination of all kinds based on race, color, religion, or national origin.

Scholarships: Who Gets Them And Why? (March 17, 2011)

"Mr. KANTROWITZ: In fact, they are less likely to receive college scholarships. And they represent about a third of the applicants, but only about 28 percent of the recipients. Caucasian students receive 72 percent of all scholarships. Minority students receive only 28 percent of all scholarships."

[...]

Mr. KANTROWITZ: Well, the Pell Grant program, the Caucasian students receive a much lower percentage of the awards. A Caucasian student has about a 20 percent chance of receiving a Pell Grant compared to 38 percent for minority students -a little bit higher for African-American students, a little bit lower for Hispanic students. And that's because the Pell Grant is based on the income and assets of the applicant, and minority students tend to have lower income than Caucasian students.

For example, looking just at the students with incomes, family incomes under $50,000, 48 percent of Caucasian students fall into that group, whereas 77 percent of African-American students fall into that group, and overall among minority students, 71 percent."
