Cost of living isnt high, but I live in Naples, so I am sure Rome and all of the areas up north are more expensive. If you plan on visiting I would suggest flying the local Italian airlines to save money. as far as how I like it, ehhn the food is good, they use fresh ingredients and that makes a big difference in taste. However restaurants are only open from like noon to 3 then re open after 6 and you really can only get Italian food here, there are no Asian fusion restaurants or fried chicken spots.. I must say driving here will drive you crazy tho

Last question (I know I asked a ton), they really believe in working 8 hours max per day? I heard whenever film crews go to shoot movies in Europe they get pissed because the people over there check out right at 8 hours and you can't convince them otherwise to stay overtime.

After my experience in PR im a bit worried about going somewhere if I dont speak the language, I travel solo most of the times and dont really hang out at touristy spots, im torn between Barcelona, Portugal and Morroco for my next trip but leaning toward Morroco since I speak french

i'd say morocco just for the fact it's different than europe, I know when I graduate my first destinations are Africa and the Middle East, tired of the stereotype that Africa is a wasteland full of AIDS, war and poverty and the middle east is full of war and terrorism
