I do not believe in any deity but I've been reading the bible in a personal context and Jesus by himself was a good man

Called out his own people, hung out with whores and said some good shyt :ehh:

Paul was a dikk riding wannabe weed carrier who still acted like a Pharisee, imagine a bunch of Clarence Thomas ass nikkas leading a bunch of grifters to dictate your life, that's who the Pharisees were to the Israelites
Aint nobody asking your dumb ass shyt besides asking if you can shut the hell up

I honestly want to know what's confusing about:

1. I am an atheist. I do not believe in an omnipotent god/s or anything religious in the Bible.

2. I consider Jesus of Nazareth a wise man who taught love and peace.

3. I don't worship him.

I saw something about islam and you believing in Jesus

A Christian Atheist.... :mindblown:

But there is something to be said about reading the Bible and appreciating the stories, allegories, and parables in it. You don't have to be religious for that.

As I get older my view on who Jesus was and who He was to his people back then has changed quite a bit.

I'll ask you then.

Where did my statement contradict the Bible's narrative?

King James was a white homosexual, so I'll be using the New American Bible translation:

That's all I'm saying

"If anyone thinks he is religious and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his heart, his religion is vain."
-James 1:2

Jesus was a man, unlike you, you can't handle me being contemporaneous with the Bible, if it's as infallible as you believe it to be, wouldn't putting it in an irreverent context be good?

Don't love dogma, love what Christ taught you to

I was raised christian as a kid,
Became a muslim from 18-23 after studying it,
Don't believe in anything now but reading the Bible by choice this time
What's really the point though in reading the bible?
If it's for motivation, it's other avenues out there with actual people instead of a fairy tale book
:yeshrug:

(I was raised Catholic, Fruit of Islam member in my late teens, Hebrew Israelite until almost 24 y/o, non-believe now for 10 years)

I don't believe in god and there's no point in life

I spend a nice chunk of that reading if I'm not a debauched pos in my free time

Bible's an absolute mess of a book, it's like ulyssess but actually coherent, and the cause of countless atrocities, that's a beautiful thing

You can’t be a Christian and Atheist. It is not possible. That is like saying. I am a 747 aircraft but my landing gears are bicycle wheels. If you are Christian you believe in general core beliefs, you might disagree on certain details. Atheism is definitely not one of them.

Only technical way he can be a Christian Atheist is if he's atheist but still follows Christian culture. Kinda look Jewish-Atheists who may still follow Jewish holidays and customs like the Sabbath but they don't believe.
