Straight men are often befuddled when they see lipstick lesbians with butches. If the former wants masculinity, my assumption is that dating men would come more naturally than dating women. But perhaps those lesbians who are attracted to masculinity are also attracted to femininity, with the best compromise being the butch.

I almost knocked out a stud not too long ago. I had gotten into an argument with her girlfriend at a coffee shop and the stud stepped up to me like I wouldn't hit her. I knocked her fitted off and walked away. I also told her that if I ever see her again, I'll do worse. For whatever reason some studs feel they can fight men. the semantics and word games aside, femininity/masculinity have everything to do with sex/gender. Men are naturally more masculine than women.

I didn't do anything except argue with the stud's girlfriend. Of course I berated the girlfriend and ridiculed her, but that a natural part of argument. I problem I had was when the stud wanted to assert herself as though I had any obligation to respect her presence. At the end of the day, she was a woman and merely because we were in a public place doesn't mean I wouldn't remind her of that vulnerability. Butches often lose themselves and think they're men.
