Medic who currently works as a dispatcher. Still on the street once and a while these days. I work near the jersey shore.

Its not that difficult considering ive seen it happen so many times. You can literally watch the soul leave a person's eyes. When they say they feel like they are dying, its usually too late.



I do my job despite the attitude of the person.

what are some scenarios/illnesses where people feel like they're dying ?
if they die to do u take them to the hospital still or to like a morgue or something

If younare transporting you keep going to the hospital no matter what. You can pronounce a person dead on scene or let the doc do it at the ER. If on scene you leave them there and allow the police to handle the crime scene.


People with AAA or someone having a heart attack mostly feel when they are gonna die better than others.

No it doesnt bother me. Its business and I emotionally seperate myself.

A lot of cities have firefighters vs cops boxing matches.

Just got my EMT-B couple months ago, got my State Fire 1 too. Took test in a few major cities just waiting to get called up

Would you have any advice as far as moving forward with my career?

Got mine too, become a firefighter. Don’t know where you stay but some departments give preference points on exams for folk who have they degrees.

I know Dallas,Houston, El Paso doesn’t hire anyone without a certain amount of college credit hours.
