I had an early 2000's AMG. That shyt never worked right from day 1. Terrible terrible garbage POS car. It was fast in a straight line though (during the brief periods of ownership when the intercooler-pump actually wasn't broken).

I'm guessing their quality-control has gotten better since the early 2000's (it couldn't have really gotten worse).
