Im not talking about service so much as ridersIt's bad, but not why you think it is though.
But a mini concencus is the E,F, and R are consistently the worst among the letter trains. Can't speak for the numbered lines.

we spend all day on the trains. Sometimes with no breaks.how much of your shift do you spend conducting trains as opposed to doing other stuff?
and do you think a new hiree will most likely work in the A or B division?
The neighborhoods it runs through has no shortage of knuckleheads. Washington Heights, West Village, East New York, far Rockaway.Im not talking about service so much as riders
Generally to what extent do the insides of trains get cleaned? Mopped? Poles wiped down (pause)? Panels wiped down? Does this happen everyday? Once a week?
what happens if you gotta use the bathroom?
do ya'll have fare pseudo pigs who peruse the lines checking fares..?
out hurr i always rip the ticket up in their face and throw it at their face or feet..
lol nah not on the subways in the 5 boroughs. that's on the long island rail road or metro north.
at picturing the bolded.
So let's say a conductor has to take a shyt really bad and a lot of the route is still left, what happens? They have bathrooms for the drivers at most stations for emergencies. The longer lines they switch drivers in the middle of the trip is in excess of like 1 hour or so.
My Pops peed in a bottle if it was that urgent (he used to drink a lot of coffee when younger). It's easier for conductors to do that but for train drivers it will fukk up the schedule if you don't time it right.

We usually work our diet around it. we try to not eat food that'll make your bowels move or urinate. on the longer lines, A,F,R,D,2, we usually try to take care of that before we leave. we can get off the trains and go to the stations, but it's a hassle and not worth the trouble. but in dire emergencies, some of us do carry them. the bottles
you witness any violence or robberies?
My coworker who worked the A on midnights said Broad Channel is a hotspot for that. The worst I've seen is this couple at Morgan Ave on the L train. Sitting on the train quiet as a mouse, then when they got off, she [wife/gf] starts swinging at him, he threw her to the floor, punching her head and kicking her; I did my due diligence and continued service into Manhattan
are you forced to read the announcement about giving up your seats to the old or pregnant? i notice that only a few make that announcement.
yes, we're required to make announcements every 15 minutes, some do it way too often, and some don't do it at all. just how the conductor is feeling.
my bad for being vague about it.So let's say a conductor has to take a shyt really bad and a lot of the route is still left, what happens?
And I asked radio raheim a similar question already, but do they just have the drivers and conductors jump from line to line all day long without much of a break in between?
yea sure thingCan i put you down as a reference when i apply for the telephone maintainer position in May? I'll email you my resume if need be.
