Is it true that most of the 3D album was complete before her death? I know R. Saadiq did 3 songs (including So So Dumb) and Lisa had verses on 2 of them but only one song made the album. LA Reid scrapped 80% of the album and made TBoz and Chilli go back in the studio w/ Missy, Darkchild, Neptunes etc. after Lisa died. I wish we could hear some of those unheard verses from Lisa she did in the early 3D sessions cause her only original verse on that album was on Girl Talk.
Most of the album was written, at least Lisa's verses for sure. That doesn't mean X or Y song was going to be used, but she was ready to record when she got back from Honduras..
Girl Talk and Turntable were lit, especially Girl Talk. Ironic but one way or another people got to hear some of Supernova in the US back then. I wonder what those verses would've looked like too tbh, cause she designed 3D in a way to give her more freedom to express herself while staying Left Eye.. She was tired of the "we bad bytches, fukk them nikkas" music and wanted to start ditching that with 3D.
Her relationship with 2pac. And what did she mean by the sun means the end? She said it in her doc
They were very close friends that stayed closer friends until he died, even though they were too busy to see each often.. His death really affected her, but she was realistic about it. Even after that though she kept in contact with his spirit. Whether you want to believe that was really his spirit or not is up to you
She meant the end of the world. I'm not a dream reader but I've had that type of dream before.. Dreams mean different things for different people, and this is something she also believed. The nature of spirituality. However many people confuse a few things about her..
1. She was aware of her own mortality, and believed she could die at anytime
2. She didn't plan on dying at any specific time, she wanted to live until that day came
3. She planned to fight if her life was in danger and she could
Alot of people have this thing where they think accepting you can die means embracing it and being willing to let yourself die if the time comes. The two aren't the same thing.
She wanted to know when she would die, but she knew she couldn't. She wanted to avoid death, but she wasn't afraid of dying and it didn't depress her.. generally speaking the more you dwell on death, the more comfortable you get with the notion of whatever happens
after death will happen. But that doesn't make the prospect of dying itself any more inviting. Only suicidal people want to die.
All that is to say.. She wasn't predicting her own death. Like alot of people want to say. But the eventual end of the world.. If her supernova was anything like mine. Lisa wasn't always bothered because she had death on her mind.. It was because she had all of these visions and questions and couldn't see all the answers for herself
