NAs stans be dum as fck :snoop:
If you think any of those albums are essential YOU ARE dumb as fck

Don't twist this into a "Nas stan" thing fakket
:whoa:

that album is very essential.

i just wouldnt put it in the top 25.
It's essential if you are talking about 2000s hip hop yes, the Dipset movement was big but it is not a top 25 essential hip hop album maybe top 50. His list is horrendous and anti-classic New York there is no way around it.

No Stillmatic?!

I don't know if I'm the only one, but I really don't think Reasonable Doubt was a classic album. Just seems to be an inflated view for people to class Jay as one of the KoNY

well if you think its in the top 50, does it really warrant a taunting icon?

i'd say top 40 at the lowest.

well what do you think of my list? lol.

reasonable doubt had classic status since the '90s dog. and its BY FAR his best album. easily.

lol @ stillmatic.

It is a Nas stan thing cuz only a Nas stan would exude this lack of intelligence thru his posts :scusthov:

You're laughing and trying to exclude the most notable albums by the leading artist of each era of the genre and somehow tryna figure out why they are essential???

Nas stan fakkit, maybe ur the one who needs to figure out what essential is...cuz I can let you know.. cuz Ima let u know rii now if ur tryna put 2 or even one more album of NasLost's in that list your are a delusional fakkit who dnt know no better

Same fakkit tryna argue Nas being a superior rapper to Pac

Fck out my face u smartdumb fakkit :camby:

lol @ stillmatic.

I honestly can't remember, as I say, I think it wasn't PURELY considered an instant classic like Illmatic

But why lol at Stillmatic if The Blueprint is in there? IMO Stillmatic is Nas' 2nd or 3rd best album.

Another thing that is missing: Mobb Deep - The Infamous

how is Stillmatic essential? it's a dope album, even a classic if you wanna go that far but there's nothing that makes it essential listening for Hip Hop.

not saying that reasonable doubt was an instant classic. theres very few of those. but it was a certified classic within 2-3 years of its release. long before he started campaigning for it to be a goat album.

its not about best albums. its about essential albums. blueprint was a game-changer. even tho it arguably isnt even a top 3-4 jay album, its his most essential.

theres nothing essential about stillmatic.

meh. infamous had just missed the cut on my list.

I think you can make an argument for it in the top 50, no doubt. But top 25 I will put a capitalised HELL NO!

IMO essential means the advertisement of hip-hop is fundamental to the album being included and I just don't think it is a strong enough album to be honest.

Fair enough if you leave out Stillmatic for that reason, but I don't think Jay is that much of a hop-hop icon to have 2 albums in the essential category if Raekwon, Boogie Down Productions or Gangstarr are not in it.
