Said it before and i'll say it again: Hiphop culture as a whole needs to take a hard look at itself and cleanse itself and stop celebrating negativity. This is what encourages fools like this to to portray this lifestyle and sometimes cross the line in hopes of selling records.

Rap been out of control since the 90s breh

Technology has just enabled a brand new breed of zombies who kill for nothing

Part of it is also the video game culture

No regard for life

:whew:You going in . Like i keep saying. Its a huge contributing factor in our own self-hate. Cats keep posting pie charts talking bout the murder rate is down but its much deeper than that. It has our collective mindstate stagnated. It promotes and glorifies the OPPOSITE of whats needed for a community to thrive. This music is mental poison to our community.

thers like a ten page thread on how kendrick lamar music saved a teens life, but they can't admit that rap can also have a negative effect

Yep. It could have been a used as a weapon by us, but ended up being used as a weapon against us.

nikkas are too slow to realize this.

"They" saw how powerful and influential rap had become in the early 90s and purposely manipulated it. They LITERALLY are using our music against us. Rap falls under "media propaganda". Media propaganda is a very effective tool in white supremacy. They are using negative hiphop to keep the most negative stereotypes of the black race at the forefront. The best way to stall the progress of any community is to infect the minds of its youth. Notice that even r&b is dead. There is NO love, motivation or positivity in black music anymore

Anyone who claims that hip hop isn't detrimental to the growth of the Black community is delusional.

I hate that hip hop = Black culture in the minds of so many.

Black culture is bigger than hip hop. Black manhood is bigger and more complex than hip hop.

You keep pushing this theory of a greater agenda but the fact remains that you are giving way too much power to the white man and assuming black people are just pawns.

Meanwhile it was black people hating on Kendricks content calling him a c00n on here for making pro black music. People have to be honest. They love negativity and gravitate towards it.

People are choosing that negative content and demanding it. We are not helpless pawns being led astray... That is an inferior way of thinking stop it.

The fake 'wankstas' are more dangerous than real gangstas because they can't tell reality from fiction. They watched Good Fellas, Scarface, the Godfather, etc too many and think they can live that life because it is glamorized on tv and movies.

I just saw a true story about a privileged white kid who was trying to be a drug dealer, but he was using the drugs and not making any money and his 'boss', and the boss gave him a deadline to give him the money, but the fake tony montana ignored his calls,so dude was getting mad. The fake drug dealer and his delusional friends came up with a plan of killing the drug boss, instead of paying the money because he felt like the boss punked him and 'to him' real drug dealers just kill each other. He finally called the drug boss back but only to set him up, he told him he had the money and would come to his house and give it to him, but killed the drug boss and his girlfriend.
