Asses in TV and Movies

I don't know if you guys will agree with me but most of the times I see girls backs on TV or movies they're either on a dark room or it looks like you can't see the booty that well. Examples: Nina Dobrev in the Vampire Diaries and Scarlett Johansson in Iron Man 2
My question is, do they darken out digitally those scenes and/or the derriere or is it just bad lighting?

It happens too much to be a coincidence. I cant count the number of times I've been looking at a show waiting for the ass shot and they never show it or it's dark as hell if they do. But like homeboy said above, they quick to show a man or a baby's ass though.
