if my son AB was red and had Nintendo in front of him, would have done 10 mil easy but I hope Sony continues and maybe they can rebuild their own base one day, this game should do well moving forward.

Unless the platformer involves either an plumber or an blue hedgehog, it going to be a uphill battle to do numbers. Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart took two years to sell nearly 4 million copies and that's a franchise that's been around for 22 years.

Kirby did better numbers, but Switch software is off the charts for a lot of the less popular Nintendo IP.

Kirby fans was demanding a 3D platformer for years and when Nintendo dropped the Forgotten Land, it end up being the best selling title in the series (7.52 million). The fans understand that they have to come out and get that game to insure they more games in the future.

I absolutely love the Ratchet & Clank franchise, but I fear Rift Apart may be the last in the series
