:beli: Dallas folks smh

Some of ya'll make it clear that ya'll don't know wtf you're talking about. Texans have been sold out since day one. Texans had a buzz in this city since day 1. Texans games have been the number 1 tailgating spot since day 1. Of course the fanbase is swelling more and more each year since that's what happens with expansion franchises.

As far as the Astros if any of ya'll knew shyt about baseball ya'll would know that the ownership has pissed off the fans for years and that Houston was a pretty good baseball city up until recently (better than Dallas' hating asses other than VERY recently and the years after they opened the stadium). Then there's the whole pissing off the fanbase even more because of the tv rights deal. The perception is that the Astros are "blocking" people from watching Rockets games so that just adds another layer to it. Houstonians aren't eager to give Jim Crane money right now.

Same thing with the Mavs. Ya'll are bandwagoners in basketball just like Houston. I guess ya'll were selling out every night with Rolondo Blackman...

But really :russ: @ dude that said the Texans didn't have fans until recently. Funniest post in the thread so far.

well yeah but Dallas is a better sports city than Houston. Better support consistently than Houston. Houston is better than Atlanta and Miami though in support.

Pro Sports Trophies

Dallas:

5 Super Bowls
1 NBA Championship
1 Stanley Cup
2 AL ChampionshipS

Houston:

2 NBA Championships
1 NL Championship
2 or 3 MLS Championships

The Comets doesn't exist anymore and WNBA is a joke.

Houston is a football city. Astros are cool but lets be real, they suck and have been for damn near a decade. Other than for the Texans, Houston is most def a bandwagon city. nikkas won't show up unless they have a reason to.

i have this theory that outside of LA, any city with an abormally high percentage of fine ass hoes and nightlife, doesn't really give two fukks about most of their hometown teams.

same shyt with Atlanta and Miami

NYC must be the exception because there's really some diehards in here. You can't be a fair weather rooting for The Knicks/Jets/Mets.

:salute: I was going to post the exact same thing. The Mavs were garbage before Cuban came and changed things there. The Rangers were garbage as well for a LONG time too. Both of those franchises were not good on attendance either,

Mavs have the longest sellout streak in American sports. Rockets even had shytty attendance when tmac and yao were cooking. Stop it. Houston is an inferior sports town to Dallas. This is not even up for discussion.

Mavs before Cuban, yeah, pretty bad. Rangers never had the attendance problems like Houston is having now though. They were always around 15-18.

Houston
:jawalrus: Ya'll moving goalposts, padding titles and wiping away championships now lol.

I've already went over the Astros issues. If you can't read then :yeshrug:. Ya'll would know the Rangers history better than me. If there's ever been a time when a large portion of the city was "boycotting" the team then let me know. If you go back through history you'll see ya'll are no better of a baseball town than us.

Again with the Mavs talk. Ya'll coincidentally selling out the arena once the team gets good is some blatant bandwagon shyt at least according to some of ya'll. The Mavs have been good for a while so if the team takes a slide in the next few years ya'll will certainly have the chance to prove how much "better" your fans are.

That said, not only do I think the Mavs sellout streak is impressive but I've always thought it was impressive that the Rangers did solid numbers even when they weren't winning because it's tough to get fans out in that summer heat. Dallas does have a good group of fans but ya'll are more like us than some of ya'll like to think.

Side note, this forum needs more Houston vs. Dallas threads. Ya'll clearly need to learn ya'lls place:youngsabo:

Damn, they was JUST in the world series 8 yrs ago. Astro fans got short memories

after that our owner would duct tape the ball club with washed up vets hoping they can give us one good year. It failed everytime. Kaz Matusi, Jason Jennings, Woody Wiliiams, Preston Wilson just to name a few. Plus not signing draft picks didn't help.
