It will remain niche at 500-600 too lol, the steam deck itself even starting at 400 is niche. I feel like people have a skewed perception of how successful the SD really is because it’s talked about a lot of gaming websites/social media, but its still not even sold in stores, and its just over a million in sales.

It's a upgrade in almost everyway. But the biggest things is the OS
This seems more appealing if the price is right. Being able to play multiple storefronts natively is a strong selling point imo. I just wonder about battery life and build quality because I've had issues with Asus products in the past.
Having Windows on hand is both good and bad. MS should supply some greatly slimmed, Xbox esque Windows build for stuff like this.
