At first I blamed NIL for ruining college football. But it’s actually schools.

North Jersey but I miss Cali :sadcam:
The integrity of the student athlete dynamic was already compromised but NIL and the portal made it worse because they lowered the standard.

Athletes aren’t held to any academic standards. And they made transferring too easy from an academic standpoint. A player shouldn’t be able to play for 3 and 4 colleges in 5 years.

This should be the last of the COVID-19 extra year at least

Players should have to stay for at least two years at a school. Every player can't be a free agent at the end of every season.

Why is it that when the coaches (most white) were getting these big time contracts after abruptly leaving the schools no one said they were ruining college football, but when the help (most black) do it it’s a problem ?

Hasn't ruined anything. And there's more parity than ever, players have more opportunities to and it's a better viewing product for us fans. Every year isn't the Alabama invitational. fukking Vanderbilt is actually able to compete with the top of the SEC.

And maintain a 3.5 GPA

Ummm....no.

That's too high unless you taking all electives and some go into harder majors as this is the end of the line. They have their retirement fund started from NIL and go on to do some good work in food science, bio chemistry or even economics...hell, even nursing.

2.3 is fine. And let their academic goals/ decisions determine if they need a higher GPA.
