At first this Harbaugh/Niners beef made no sense but then I realized

Pretty much all the injuries happened on the defensive side on the ball. We had a stacked offense and had the worst performance out of it since 2007, with the best roster we've had since 2002. Someone had to answer for this jags/jets like offense. Harbaugh doesn't do anything on defense, he's supposed to be an offensive guru. Harbaugh refused to fire his idiot oc and is in fact bringing him to Michigan. The offense has recessed heavily with the best talent the team has seen, and basic things like not getting delay of game penalties or wasting timeouts are still an ongoing issue for years.

This team in a nutshell was a 3 win team, depleted d carried it as usual.

Pretty sure the same exact thing happened to john harbaugh back in 2012. John did fire his oc and then he kept his seat.

Honestly I'm tired of spelling this out to blind idiots who only see win loss records and think they comment on shyt without watching Niner games and only see a win or loss as the outcome.

Harbaugh is a good coach but his stubbornness to change things when change was clearly needed, cost him his job.

But its much easier to point to harbaughs win loss record, paint him as a martyr, paint Jed as the devil. It requires zero thought, zero snaps to watch of actual football, and zero understanding of the situation as hand.
So he gets no credit for turning a Career bum in Alex Smith into a Qb, one muffed fumble away from going to the Super Bowl, it was all the Defense :stopitslime:

Sounds more like the owner being a fakkit breh. Sounded like everybody still fukked with Harbaugh

That york boy is known to be cheap. I still say it came down to money and it usually does in sports. Fans just don't want to hear it and the media never addresses it.

Pretty obvious to me Harbaugh wanted more power than the front office wanted to give him...he wanted to be the coach...and the GM...and the football operations guy...and the front office was like "nope we pay you to coach and that is all you are going to do..."

And Harbaugh kept coaching...and kept winning...and kept going back for more power...and kept getting told no...

And finally got fed up and left...

He will be the end all be all at Michigan...dude had NFL teams willing to give up DRAFT PICKS to get him to be a coach and he went back to college? I'm sure he did that for the very specific reason of him being able to control ever minute detail of the Michigan football team

Dude also strikes me as an a$$hole and a weirdo...he always seems coked out...every one of his press conferences seem like they are the intro to a Paul Thomas Anderson movie...

I think it's very telling that he turned that Stanford program around...from one of the worst college football programs in the nation to a Pac 10 championship contender...and when he left...nobody at Stanford really cared...don't remember standford throwing a ton of money at him or players begging him to stay or students begging him to stay...

Classic case of a dude wanting more power than his bosses want to give him...nothing more nothing less...

And in an instance like that winning doesn't matter...These are A personality people who think they are smarter than everyone else...they see Harbaugh as some dude they hired to coach and was successful and they are thinking "okay we'll make another Harb"

Money probably was a factor to cause you always hear about the Yorks being cheap

That is why Marvin Lewis isn' going anywhere for Cincy...Brown it to fukking cheap to get another coach

If the owner was around the coach enough for Harbaugh to have been annoying then that's the owner's problem. You guys think Robert Kraft says anything to Belichick other than "Good job, Good effort" and "What do you think about signing this guy". If I was the owner of the Niners I'd be smoking cubans and sipping the finest Scotch an dealing with actual corporate shyt involved in the organization [merchandising, sponsors, tv deals, other NFL teams ]

BTW if we want to talk about coaches fired after succes, parcells and pats anyone? This was over much more petty shyt than ofefejse underperforming, and it turned out alright for kraft didn't it ? Pete didn't do much worse than parcels and then belli crushed the buildings

That's a good one, but this situation reminds of Jimmy Johnson/Jerry Jones in Dallas. I think Jimmy wanted more power kind of like Harbaugh

And then they brought in fukking Norv Turner who does nothing but shyt the bed. :mjlol:

Football WOAT hiring.

That team was built like a Ferrari that just needed performance tires, hiring Norv Truner was equivalent to changing it's suspension resulting in a team that got away from it's strength (running the ball in LT's prime).

AJ Smith is one of the worst GM's of all-time. Dude's ego caused him to beef with everybody that he never brought in.

He generally may be a tough person to deal with. Folks at Stanford and San Diego will tell you Harbaugh wears thin on people. But I still feel like as successful as the 49ers have been all parties should have found a way to make this work.

I do have a feeling he'll probably be at Michigan for 4 or 5 years then head back to the NFL.
How many people at Stanford and San diego you talked to that told you that.

they did go one step further with norv tho :ld:
so its not like it was a big downgrade. wasnt a big upgrade and norv was softer than terrycloth.

With the loaded roster they had, a halfway competent coach would have gotten them to a Super Bowl if not two or three.

Great coaches are always tough to deal with because they're control freaks.

Yup.. and remember, this is two straight coaches that have gotten run out of SF (now Singletary was obviously a shytty coach, but still...)

As someone who knows all about bullshyt owners, I gotta say this is the most unattractive job in the NFL IMO. Who would want to work for York after this shyt?

What coach is going to want the pressure of having to replace someone that had the success Harbaugh did? If you basically don't make the NFC title game in your first year or two, it's a failure. No young up and coming coach is gonna wanna get saddled with that shyt. They gonna get stuck hiring in-house or hiring some retread bum like Jim Mora

Majority of these owners feel like these coaches are getting all the shine and they secretly want to be acknowledge more like jerry jones....

The rooneys and bob kraft dont care about that.. it's about winning period..
