Ghost has changed a lot since then. you'd call it a spiritual transformation. You would never tell from his interviews these days but he was a violent schizophrenic maniac. Unfortunately it won't happen but ghost is still capable of putting out quality music. Supreme is a moment in time you can never get back. Some of those joints are from 97' so your talking about 16 yrs later. Ghost is a much different person and everyone else that was involved in that project is also. It never works when you try to recreate a sound or style from when you were much younger, 50 has been struggling with this since GRODT.

i don't see what his age has to do with it, writing and spitting isn't like basketball where your body gives out. it's more likely the drugs he was on or the mindset he was in when he went to Africa etc i don't see why he couldn't make another album in that style unless it was drugs that was giving him that mind state

He's a different man for better and worse. Better: he's healthy and doing well. Worse: music suffers. I fear he'll never recapture that magic and you can tell that his music is very subdued now. He always has some dope lines but it's just too...linear. Like he's recycling the same coke rap shyt, whereas back in the day you never knew what he'd say.

This is a guy who recorded Motherless Child while completely dusted, he was crazy as fukk. I'd like to see him at least try that style again, maybe over a beat that could spark some creativity (Madlib perhaps), but I doubt it would work

That Stream-of-consciousness style is so unique and sophisticated and complex that I think it'd be damn near impossible to bring back that style.

He should have got way more props back then for what he created. Just think if Ghostface wrote the album as a book of poetry, and say he had it published under his real name--just think of the kind of accolades he'd receive.

It's a shame that hip hop still hasn't received the aesthetic respect it should as an art form. In terms of artistic respect, it should be venerated even more than any other musical genre created, because it involves a whole new creation of literary form. This stuff should be taught at universities; and not just due to its cultural history, impact and relevance.

Did quitting the drugs really affect Ghost that much that he has lost the ability to resurrect that style? I mean, dude used to smoke angel dust; i'd imagine that he'd have to be in that zone in order to write in that way.

What happened to this dudes creativity? I mean, dude was god status when it came to originality. Remember the robes and shyt? Dude was from another planet at that time. His imagination is still top-notch, but it seems to be that he's dulled a bit, maybe due to old age.

i say no because in 2013 80% of the customers are mentally embedded to be a simpleton that spurns any lyrical substance they just want to do this
