CAN'T let the game come to you unless the rest of the team is already running smoothly. it's not. and of course its not. all these guys are new to one another. 85% of them are new to the team.kobe is supposed to just let the game come to him, and take midrange shots. Instead he's chucking bad threes, and tough fadeaways. Where is his IQ?
no sorry he was. i know yall love to look at old man kobe as an excuse to make false statements about who he used to be.Yep and kobe was never that mythical shooter or clutch guy people keep raving about for these last years
you dont make one of your top 5 lakers and top 10 players of all time a towel waver in year 20 after the man limped to the FT line after blowing out his achilles (PAUL PIERCE In a wheelchair would've not shot the ft's, lebron would've been carried off the court, we've seen steph with his old ankle problems.) That man kobe has given his entire body to the lakers. dude was playing with broken fingers on his shooting hand still dragging the lakers into the playoffs and to rings. they owe him this finish. i'm not sure who you're a fan of or what state you ride with. But let the hate die already. The dude deserves the ability to literally shoot half court shots all season long if he so well pleases. Thats what happens when you work your tail off your entire career and give 100% full effort every single game for one team and bring them 5 rings and a bunch of finals appearances. along with all the highlights to bring the people out year in and year out.He has no balls, Kobe should be a towel waver at this point.
They owe him this finish? This finish benefits no one, not even himself. again, the team right now sucks. so if by chance the team was great and kobe was holding up progress. then he would have to sit down and wave that towel. but thats not the case.
THERE is nothing to benefit fromt his season. what part of that dont you get? if kobe never played a single game this season. this team would be just as bad. and with one more loss. they only one that other game because he kept them moving along the play schemes and what not. but even that only worked twice this year. the guys are too new, to much youth at crucial positions (pf and pg. two rookies more or less)They owe him this finish? no he doesnt. this is his last year. falling back will amt to what? the same # of losses. GET YOURS kobe or brick yours. again. doesnt bother me ONE BIT. this season is lossed and we pretty much knew this from day 1. So why would i care if kobe is TRYING to be an aggressive scorer but just cant get it done. doesnt bother me at all. It doesnt teach the young guys bad behavior. it teaches them that if you play for 20 years and are one of the goats for 17 of the 20. you can do what the hell you want in year 20. in addition, he's teaching the kids to never be afraid to take shots, even when you're off. no they wont go 1-14 in their youth. you wont have to worry about that happening when they're young and healthy. one of the reason a lot of nba guys have the talent but never become the kobe's, jordan's, etc is because they are afraid to fail or look bad. it also shows them to stay aggressive even when you're injured/sick/not feeling well. This is something the casual fan, and even a lot of ESPN people, nor coaches or other players understand.
As bad as kobe has looked this season and last(banged up old man, look flabby and real sick). Why do defenders even guard the man? i would back off 50 feet and play someone else. but there's a reason they still guard him. there's a reason when he has the ball the defense shifts to his side. it's because they are still a bit afraid of what he MIGHT do. even though its clear HE AINT GOING TO DO IT EVER AGAIN. doesnt matter. he put that 81 on the world. They will never in life let that happen again by that man. But to be that man, you have to remain aggressive and LOOK like you're going to score. Kobe right now is playing texas hold em' with horrible hand, tossing all the chips in on a full blown Bluff. Yet the defenders are still taking the bait. This is a nice lesson for any scorer out there young or old. remain aggressive at all times. never become passive. doesnt mean you cant be a pass first guy if you're a pg. it means be aggressive in whatever moves you make to force the defense to play you honestly. but most of yall wont understand this and point to his fg% because thats what this era has been about. pulling the stats.

sg another kid 2nd year player
sf has to old men and a chucker(metta and kobe + nick)
no way in hell this team would do well unless they had multiple years together so at least they could have great chemistry together. but they dont have that becuase they are all new to one another. this season was lost from the jump. so again, sorry there is no benefit to this season no matter what you do. no kobe. same season. kobe the brick layer.. same season.
is kobe taking any mins from russell, clarkson, randle? NO.
the mins they are getting are the mins they would be getting no matter who was on the team. they have to play themselves into bigger and bigger roles on the team. and earn their spot. it makes you hungry. unless they come out of the box looking like lbj or shaq from day 1. otherwise, earn your keep. gradually boost your mins. gradually give them the keys to the the ride. then let them do their thing.
lowkey kobe has one of the lowest IQs in basketball history. dude went 20 years taking (and consistently missing) off balance fadeaways over multiple defenders that for some reason, people fawned over...it really was some bizarro shyt to watch.kobe is supposed to just let the game come to him, and take midrange shots. Or at least pad his rebounding numbers by collecting Kobe's misses.Y'all don't understand how much this hurts![]()
And fukk the Lakers for not taking Okafor. Could have had that pass out 1-2 between Jah and Kobe and Kobe would have some pressure taken off him.
I'd put him around league average IQ wise. His ego clearly clouded his judgement at times. Its ridiculous that he is always called the smartest guy in the gamelowkey kobe has one of the lowest IQs in basketball history. dude went 20 years taking (and consistently missing) off balance fadeaways over multiple defenders that for some reason, people fawned over...it really was some bizarro shyt to watch.

You make a good point about Pierce but thats Kobe fault. Like i said, i hope he enjoys his situation.CAN'T let the game come to you unless the rest of the team is already running smoothly. it's not. and of course its not. all these guys are new to one another. 85% of them are new to the team.
aside from kobe, nick, and clarkson. who actually played together last year? Sacre doesnt count cause he has seen the floor this year, black barely counts since he barely gets burn.
your starting lineup is all new guys that dont know each other. clarkson some what knows kobe but due to all the injuries last year, including kobe going down with the shoulder. clarkson doesnt know how to play with and off of kobe nor russell. russell doesnt know how to play off of russell, kobe, clarkson, hibbert, nor Randle.
the bench is all new except for nick.
everyone wants kobe to be paul pierce now. but paul played on a legit nets team with vets that knew the plays and understood the nba and he had his old teammate in kg. then he bounced to the wizards. younger core 2 guys but those guy were 3+ years in the nba and starting to ball out. nene and the other guys were vets. nice little setup for paul to just kick back and wait for hte kick out for the occasional 3 or mid range jumper. paul is now with another top tier team. again all he has to do is play his roll and sit back and hit a few jumpers mid range to 3 land.
Yeah but that's dumb.
The years that Jordan did play, even at his old age, he was still putting up 3,000 minute seasons. Which is right in line with almost any other full-time player.
And Michael did it even at 39 years old.
