Processed food gang is straight up losing in the supermarket. They're paying 50% more for items that have shrunk in size by 25%. I get inflation, but this might be the government signaling people to lay off the doritos.

This is also something I noticed. Not that whole foods haven't seen a price rise, but if im willing to cook, shyt is still way cheaper than anything prepackaged. Diversifying protein keeps things cheaper (eggs and greek yogurt in addition to salmon/beef or whatever meat is on tap for the week.) If I make a homemade soup in the 10 quart on Sunday, i'm able to get down the entire week. People with children have shyt the hardest, but those of us who don't, there are options that just require cooking and choosing things like leg quarters over breasts. Hell, whole chicken roasters are cheaper here than good quality chicken breasts individually. A local spot blew me away selling 2 packs of perdue roasters for $8 bucks. Legit weeks worth of chicken unless you eat it with every meal.
