2 containers of burrata - $12 apiece
2 containers of ricotta - $8 apiece
parmesan reggiano - $8
mozzarella - $7
1 lb ground turkey - $8
1lb turkery Italian sausage - $11
fresh lasagna sheets - $18
thats $92 right there

plus had to buy crushed tomatoes, tomato sauce, tomato paste, mushroom, spinach, onion, garlic, parsley, basil, some items to make salad

I easily hit $120-130 for the lasagna and salad

bought a pie for dessert, whipping cream, yogurt, sparkling water and eggs and that’s where I got to $200

like I said, I wasn’t using cheap shyt, clearly I could’ve made the average American lasagna with hard packaged noodles, jarred sauce, low quality turkey, and cheap cheese and come out around $50-60
Turkey:hhh:

I get the gist of it, and I’ll move on from talking about you specifically….

But it seems too many people want to maintain a lifestyle they can’t afford. And expect god to come down and save them. If you couldn’t afford Whole Foods, but you had Walmart… then when Walmart costs as much as Whole Foods, you might want to downgrade to Food Lion.

Again, not you cause you can afford it. But people complain about shyt like it’s going to change. It’s not. Price of the brick going up. Adjust and adapt. I like $500 a night dinners too. But when they cost $1500 and it’s the same food, I’ll find out who got $500 dinners. Not upgrade AND complain.

And it seems women do this a lot. Women do not like downgrading a damn thing
i mean, sure, if you can’t afford Whole Foods no more, don’t go, but even Trader Joe’s, which is consistently one of the cheapest places to shop out here, costs more than it used to, ain’t no place to downgrade to from there…

and it’s not just women who don’t like to downgrade, people get accustomed to one thing and it’s hard to move them off it. Especially when it comes to things like grocery shopping, making the trade off for quality, price, and convenience make up or downgrading more complex.

The Supply Chain is in shambles + the value of the dollar is decreasing

1. A bad Supply Chain raises the prices of manufacturing and shipping costs, which in turn makes the goods more expensive on the Retail level
2. A decreasing value of the dollar means the prices of everything is going up on top of that your spending power decreases as well

This common sense Economics 101

The fact that these posts got daps :skip:
This nikka tryna school me on economics :mjlol:

Go sit your ass down somewhere while adults converse. Come back when you understand some of those words you regurgitated.

6 figures gang. I can’t relate. I don’t even looks at prices.
This ain’t about that :comeon:

This is exactly it. Got people shopping at Aldi’s and even they’re saying the prices are wild, and they got multiple mouths to feed.

The deep freeze play might be the move for meats though. I cook, but these prices are outrageous. Then you got nikkas on here telling you 100k is a lot of money, you just don’t know how to budget.. yeah.. ok :mjlol:

I've started shopping at Costco and doing bulk shopping for my meal prep to keep costs down because these grocery store prices are fukkery. The last straw was when I went to buy some salmon fillets and my local grocery store is charging £7.50 for a 2 pack :scust:

1st Round Playoff Exits
:patrice: food is fuel to me.

I eat roughly the same stuff all the time.

Haven’t been to a grocery store in years.

Just order everything through Amazon fresh.

I just got used to the prices but since I’m copping from home. I’ll let the items sit in my cart before I purchase to consider if I want or truly need something.

Anyways I can go two weeks on $150.

Granted I still eat out a couple times throughout the week as well.
