All of these carriers are shyt
It's truly pick your poison. Even the best priced carriers are still expensive as shyt compared to the rest of the world. Just like our internet service.
If the base rate is a hunna, my company gets a 19% discount for its employees since we use AT&T, and I got DTV....shouldn't that be 71$ before taxes?

I didn't even read the rest of your post, the word discount just stuck out at me. Your math is right, but for the plan I'm talking about in the OP, the base rate is $60, then $40 for the 1st line. Which means even with one line, your discount isn't as good. Comes out to like $78.60 ($60 {base} - 19% {corp discount} + $40 {line} - $10 {DTV discount}), which is just a little more.

I pulled up my account to verify. Here's my breakdown:
Base rate: $60
1st line: $40
2nd line: $40
3rd line: $40
4th line: $40
Discount(25%): - $15
Total: $205
After 2 months, the 4th line is free (through a $40 bill credit), so it should drop down to $165

Just did it. It's $205 for four lines for 3 months then drops to $165. Damn good price compared to what I was paying for them nickeling and diming the data.
FYI, the DirecTV discount $10 only applies when you unify your accounts to a single account. It puts everything on one bill and makes the due dates the same.
