:stopitslime: up until 2009 you could still buy smart phones without a data plan at all. Why dont you complain about that? Since you like bringing up old shyt :stopitslime:
That's completely irrelevant to the point that all of these data caps only exist for ISPs to squeeze more money out of people and they basically lied to the FCC and said it was about "congestion" well if its about "congestion" then why is AT&T taking corporations money to offer its users what amounts to unlimited bandwidth as long as a company pays them to provide it.

the internet has evolved further since bandwidth caps were introduced and now people stream their music, movies, tv shows and everything else. how much data does an hour of playing Call of Duty Ghost online use? does it use more data then Battlefield 4? the end user is expected to monitor something that has no real firm way to monitor.

if i drive a car x miles it uses x gallons of gas. most of us don't know how much data these services and devices use and the data isn't fixed either.

That was going to be my next point.

T-Mobile and Sprint have much less resources, yet they can offer it with no caps.

AT&T and Verizon tho apparently can't at all. It was bullshyt from the very beginning because overage charges on minutes and text messages started to dry up and it was an easy source of extra money.

Anything less than a 20GB cap is ridiculous these days. If I were on a 2GB cap I would basically move my YouTube, pandora, spotify apps to the back or uninstalled.

The fukk is the point at those ridiculous limits

as people started talking and texting on their phones less and less I've noticed most carriers give unlimited talk and text on plans like its nothing. they now hammer us on data charges. honestly though with Twitter and Facebook and the like most people's cell phones are just used for mobile internet. people don't need to talk on phones or text anymore because they communicate on apps or social media.

this is nothing more than the ISPs version of bank overdraft fees.
There are people in the Arcadium who were pro data caps just a year ago...

Stop stanning these telecoms. They don't give a fukk about you.
oh these Android and iOS stans are gonna love the cell phone providers next move of abolishing cell phone upgrades and making everybody pay full retail on phones in installments. we're probably half way there. i bet inside of 2 years or less the bi-annual upgrade subsidized phone cycle is removed from all carriers.

As I said before if your location gets good T-mo service you would be a fool not to switch. Here in Tulsa the whole city is covered in 4g lte. I need unlimited because I stream Google music in my car. All my music is in the cloud :win:
Until you realize Google replaced Mobb Deep's Bloody Money with the clean version. Creep is impossible to listen to :troll:

it's good there....that's one of their original good spots (there and texas)

as for this, i can see how it bothers people, but it doesnt bother me...i dont live through my phone...i use my phone to text and make calls...i rarely use it to surf the net, cause i have access to computers and/or i'm doing things and not worried about being on the net...

tmobile 100minute is too low especially if you have to call customer service for anything you own during that month or have a phone interview etc.

i'm good with straight talk unlimited phone and txt and 2.5gb full speed. I use the att sim.

i would have rolled with vrigin mobile since 300minutes a month works for me and it's only $30 a month for iphones with unlimited text and high speed 2.5gb and reduced to 256kbs which is decent. But I don't want the iphone 5 and being stuck on sprint 3G would suck (worse than edge with att). Now when the bigger iphones come out....i'll switch to virgin mobile (well sprint freedom as virgin mobile and boost are about to merge)

Maybe I'm not understanding. So AT&T is offering some internet features data free? Isn't that better than no internet feature data free? Or are they dropping unlimited folks in place of this?

I'm not familiar with AT&T do they still offer unlimited or is that just for grandpas like VZW?
