I had to revisit this thread. :mjlol: at Wack D's (confirmed) alt account trying to say Kurt's prime was in TNA.

I think his prime was around 05-07. That's when to me everything seemed to click together for him and he upped his intensity in the ring.

Kurt Angle had better matches against all the people HHH had great matches against besides Mick Foley :sas2:

Kurt vs. HBK, Taker,Brock, Rock, Stone Cold all better than the matches that trips had with them. Plus the classics he had with Benoit, Rey, Edge, Jericho, Eddie and a bunch of others I'm forgetting.

What I'm trying to say, this isn't even a discussion. Angle might be top 5 in the ring and wasn't insecure about his position so win or lose, he's getting people over. HHH MIGHT be top 20, but he ain't touching Kurt.

Kurt and it ain't even close.

Trips was a top of the line main event stand-in - took the company through some barren times and did a great job of it.

Kurt was an actual main eventer with all the skills, charisma, look and pedigree (:usure:) required to be on top for as long as he wanted.

There is no comparison.:martin:

I think HHH is underrated on here, but the only thing I'd put HHH above Angle in is being a legit heel. Angle never really had the kind of heat HHH had at times. HHH arguably cuts a better heel promo also.

HHH was and is a great worker, but Kurt Angles peak in like 02-03 was ridiculous. He was physically doing things that amazed you, that never really happened in HHH matches. That counts for something.

I feel like kurts tna run is overlooked because tna is what it is and because the list of opponents in wwe was so legendary.

comparing them on paper makes it looks like his time in wwe was far better but if you actually watched tna throughout that time I bet a lot of opinions would change as to what his best work was.

I said in the other thread I'm going to go back and rewatch his old stuff on the network and reevaluate though so we'll see where my opinion stands then.

as for this thread it's not even close to me, I liked hhh at his peak but he wouldn't be in my personal top 10 and kurt is damn near at the top
