do people remember peyton and the colts losing to the jets 0 to 41 in the playoffs ?

we're talking about offense featuring peyton manning, reggie wayne, marvin harrison and edgerrin james not scoring a single point against a defense which was decent, but not really touching this niner squad. their best player was prolly john abraham and they were a middle of the pack defense, if not worse in the regular season and had a 9-7 record.

Real question does Peyton still not get blased for that game? We make legit excuses the day after for Rodgers. It’s low key disgusting tbh

thats my point, peyton doesnt. you dont really hear pundits bringing it up. joe montana had some stinkers against beli's giants in the offs. it's rarely mentioned as well.

Both are great QBs but I prefer the gunslinger who goes out swinging than the ultra careful guy who protects his stats and doesn't take risk . Both cost your team in different ways
I'ma take favre all day over Rodgers .

People forget favre was the top dog for years in a tougher league .

This would be perfect if Favre had more than one super bowl. He doesn’t. Rodgers even has a super bowl mvp.

Favre was also not great in the prime of his career. He had some stacked Green Bay teams too.

The D got left out to dry. Rodgers couldn’t stay on the field for long and their D was getting murdered with run plays. It amplifies when you figure that they had to score quick after being down by 3 scores thus forcing the D back on the field. Recipe for disaster against the Niners.

Yeah the defense sucked, yeah the 49ers have a great defense but still shouldn't he have done more? Why is it wrong to expect a great player to play great.
I mean their drives were
5 plays 25 yds punt,
5 plays 4 yds punt,
3 plays -11 yds punt,
6 plays 50yds fumble,
3 plays 14 yds int,
3 plays 1yd punt

That shyt was awful and he looked like he aint give af (and im not one of those body language psychiatrists but he was lookin worse than Cam when he fumbled twice) If another QB put up them half assed drives they'd be getting roasted.
Everybody lays a stinker, and there are teams that have your number but facing them the second time they didnt have anything different to do
And it also speaks to my worries and questions about Lafleur. Dude seems to gameplan and never adjust. They looked completely unprepared.

Farve has to go thru Dallas which was a dynasty. Manning had to go thru New England which is a dynasty. Every qb with a decent year been to the super bowl for the NFC since 2010 but Rodgers. Rodgers is top 5 since 2010 but nowhere near the GOAT.

I think GB is finished. Rodgers doesn't look the same, they never spend the money needed to get top tier offensive talent, and the NFC is too stacked for them to simply run it back as is. Vikings got a squad, Niners aren't going anywhere, Saints could retool with Teddy (or sign Brady lol), etc.

The fact that you look at that game and put the blame on Rodgers suggests that you think it he GOAT, and thus that is why you expect him to overcome everything that was thrown at him in order to win. No QB plays well under constant pressure, not even Brady, matter of fact especially Brady. Rodgers wasn't his best, and the 9ers D had a lot to do with that but I'd say getting gashed by Raheem Mostert for over 200 yds and 10 yds per carry for most of the game probably had are more deleterious affect on the game for the Packers. It's only right that he passed Lamar Smith for yds in a playoff game, another guy that no one knows going historic against the defense, yet people only wanna talk about the QB that took the L. But hey, as the man, and as a GOAT candidate you get the credit and the blame so it is what it is .
