He ain’t even better than Brees. But he and Brees will both be in that tier of never being as revered as Peyton and Tom at this point until either one can get their team back to a Super Bowl while actually contributing mightily.
Rodgers still top 10 though. It’s the media who got enamored with him and crowned him as a GOAT candidate before he even got to a second Super Bowl no less.
Mahomes the new shiny toy for the media. If he wins in two weeks, he’ll be the undisputed newly anointed “future GOAT” by the media. From there, it’ll be up to Pat to play up to the crazy expectations and win another super bowl.

He is better then brees. Brees has had weapons and plays in a dome yet rodgers has seen more playoff games then brees with less losing seasons and years.
Nothing brees can do that prime rodgers cant where as brees isnt as mobile or accurate as rodgers on some throws

So Rodgers gets the “no defense” excuse but Brees doesn’t. Gotcha.
Brees played much better in the playoffs too by the way. This year was his first piss poor playoff game where he actually was a legit reason we loss.
Just like the media, you’re on the “but Rodgers is so talented” narrative. That’s fine. He didn’t do enough with the talent then I guess. He doesn’t have the numbers of Brees and both stand at one super bowl. Least I can argue Brees had a legit chance at a second one but the referee screwed him of it.
least Rodgers is younger. He seems to have the reality of more chances to get another one than Brees does at least.

The Packers defense that we had in 2019 was our best one since the 2014 season which also ended in a loss in the Championship Game in Seattle (which was an epic choke job).
Aaron may not be the GOAT but he's better than Eli, Rivers, and Flutie. Some of ya'll are insanely disrespectful.
It's a miracle the Packers got to this point this year. I had them winning 9 games at best this year. Rodgers has 1 NFL caliber WR on this roster (Davante Adams) and a star RB (Aaron Jones) and a good power RB (Williams) and all 3 of them got the most receptions this year. Jimmy Graham is being paid $12M and doesn't show up, stealing money.
The Packers GM, Brian Gutekunst, was not proactive this year. The Packers needed an ILB or 2 who can cover and run stop since Martinez isn't it. He got the Smith brothers and Amos which was great and drafted my fellow Terp breh Savage as well. But they cut Mike Daniels and the depth on DLine wasn't exposed until they played the 49ers and other good rushing squads.
Also, for the life of me, the Packers not trading for Sanders was GM malpractice. Letting Cobb go with no replacement was also a disaster.
Allison and Marquez-Valdez Scantling are supposed to be the #2 and #3 WRs and they have combined for 21 catches since October.

This is such a dumb take that people make. Those 2 Super Bowl runs by the Giants, how did their D play? There aren't many QB's that can overcome their D giving up 40 points. Stop the nonsense.

Brees lit up the vaunted SF defense (On the road) in 2011 and his defense blew it. He worked Minnesota in 2017 (on the road) and his safety blew it. How does Rodgers get the excuses but Brees doesn’t?

That's why most talented doesnt mean shyt. Been telling Rodgers stans on this site for years that a young buck us gonna take that mantle in .2. GOAT has lasting value. Gonna take a career of unprecedented excellence to take that title

I have never seen as many excuses made for a QB as I have seen for Rodgers. Every season its a different excuse for him.

one of those turnovers was on a drive where they probably wouldve scored at least 3
and what was the difference in the game? 17 pts

This is my only knock when it comes to Rodgers. Every QB takes hits when they play terrible but Rodgers always gets the some excuse. No talent on offense. Terrible defense. Terrible coach. Etc.
