At this point old Source Magazines are like Dead Sea Scrolls! Which issues do you own?

I still have most of my collection, so almost every issue from '96 though '08 or something like that.

I know I'm missing the Jay/Firm issue since I let someone hold it in school, and it got passed around, until this chick lost it. I'm missing Wu (red W), but still have the cover. It fell apart. I'm sure I don't have the Suge (red suit) cover, just because I haven't seen it since those days.

They're all in a cedar chest, so I may go through them soon...perhaps this weekend.

I have a bunch of XXLs, beginning with the 2nd issue. Some of those Blaze's, and a handful of Vibe.

Then SLAM, Kicks

Pretty much same here as well as my vinyl collection. After over a decade, I just started buying vinyl again but do want to collect the old magazines and street DVDs. I feel like so much is being lost with time.

Sorry to hear that.

Luckily my vinyl was on an elevated partition.
that was on a higher elevated part than my old media collection.
Or i would have lost my entire day one collection of vinyl. That starts with my og copy of double dutch bus when i was a kid.
Not sure how i would have taken that type of loss.

It’s crazy to me that I had every issue of The Source and XXL from around 1998 until Lil Kim got the 5 Mics, and I didn’t keep any of them. I probably threw them all away when I was in college or something.

I got the Nas "Raps leader of the next school" issue from 96 with the main article on Nas and both IWW and Reasonable Doubt reviews. I got it from my older brothers collection before I started buying.

I started buy it myself in late 97 or early 98 and probably have every issue right up until the end of 2001

I really wish i had kept all mine. I had about 20 magazines and they were pretty hard to get at that time, where i lived in the UK.

Eminem killed The Source, all the exodus went to XXL Magazine and that idiot Elliot Yellow N1gga aka. Jay d1ck rider! Those XXL Mag boys do not have nowhere near the passion and stamp The Source had. I would say from 2000 - 2006 I never missed an issue I used to look forward to the cartoon in the back that summed up the ambience of the issue or hints at the next issue.

Good old days, I later migrated to XXL Mag still would cop The Source every now and again but it was deemed useless as the mixtape dvd era was faster and had all the hype lol. Ultimately Eminem,50 and Interscope killed The Source.

I have a bunch still at my parents crib. Lost a few throughout the years. But I had them like every month for 4 years of high school. I’d say probably around 85% I should still have
Bro digitize that if you have a chance. Some of those could be lost forever.
