@Monsieur. Fox I'm digging the Thelonious Monk "Monk's Dream" album cover in your avy. I listen to that album all the time.

Last year I underwent a major catharsis. I know myself now better than I ever have. :ahh:

I'm 20 now, 19 when it happened. :blessed:

It took me a while. I used to be defined by other people to be honest. Then, I took a step back from the world for a little bit and decided that me at my best is all I ever really need to be.

Thanks, not too sure if I've heard the full album or not. I've been a miles fan for long but I like monk. I need to hear more of his music and frequently otherwise I tend to forget what I've heard and have not. He's a man of impressionable style, that's for sure tho

Philly born. PG raised
33 years of age.

You haven't made it yet if you:

-Still blaming other people for your problems
-Afraid to open your damn mouth(inferiority complex)
-Caring about what other mfs think about you
-Basing your self-worth on someone else's opinions ie bosses, family, girlfriends, or even worse, randoms

Don't make me school you young bloods.

school me....:feedme:

32, haven't figured it out :mjcry:

My mood shifts too much. I don't know what I want. Nothing excites me anymore :mjcry:

I'll probably never figure myself out :mjcry:

Just gotta finish this dissertation and what not. That's all I got going for me right now. But after that, who the fukk knows :mjcry:

I'd say about 27ish...at that point, I pretty much figured that this is the person that I am going to be for the rest of my life; no more "phases" so to speak.

It's an ongoing process, but I will say that ever since grad school, I've made more strides in this area than I ever had beforehand.

It ain't over, though.

I'm 31 and I literally just decided what I wanted to do with my life like...2 months ago...

Had been on the fence about it for years...

Society tells me I had better have it figured out by 18 though...because I am either going to pay a ton of money to pursue education and training for it for 4 years if I am "smart"...or I am just going to try to jump straight into it after high school if I am "not"...

Im still fighting to find out the bolded. What did you decide?

An author...mainly science fiction books and screen writing...

I've been splitting my time between doing a regualr 9 - 5 IT gig and writing for the last 3 years now...

I only write when I have the time...but with my job and recently getting married I never really have the time...

So it took me this long to figure out, that if I want to be a writer...I am just going to have to make the time for it....short change some stuff here...stay up later her...stay in and write on a friday instead of going out with friends...

Plus I have grown to strongly dislike my job, the IT industry in general, and corporate jobs as a whole...i view every second I spend writing is a second closer to me getting out of the corporate rat race
