it's just a matter of perceptions and ratios....when you are 7 years old, 1 year passing by is counting a big deal, cause 1 year represents 1/7th of your life experience...
once you get older, 1 year will quickly diminish in it's importance, as at 30, 1 year represents 1/30th of your life experience a lot less then at 7...
