I come from a poverty stricken family actually, our whole culture is entrenched in poverty. It dawned on me as I grew older and learned about wealth and the social dynamics of society. Our parents tried but they were way off the mark. no advice, no wealth, no resources...they basically kicked us out into Buffalo NY of all places with nothing, where blacks are totally disenfranchised . Told us to find a job and that's it.....god damn!!!....no wonder the men in my fam have a long history of drug addiction, alcoholism, mental illness and poverty....
As a kid, u listen to your elders and when u get older u think back at their advice and go "what the fukk, this advice is horrendous" .....they'll give u advice that'll have u knee deep in the system. Like if I didn't have the thirst for information and critical thinking, ill probably be defeated and strung out on drugs
I got a cousin that's been sitting on the couch of more than a decade, hopeless....no idea how to get off, and nobody got the advice or resources to help him. Breh don't have the will power to independently push himself....it hit me, like damn "dude is going die on that couch". most ppl might see it as laziness, but i see somebody that's spiritually broken and given up on life...cold game
