Last year of college and not taking anything seriously. Graduating with mediocre grades, mediocre life, I'm nothing special. But after late May, I'm gonna have to start taking it seriously, if only for my own sake.

I think some people in this thread are interpreting the thread title wrongly. It doesn't mean "taking life seriously" as in 'having no fun' but as in recognizing you have a higher purpose than just existing and thus trying to make something out of yourself. That's when you wake up and start taking things seriously and set goals you would like to achieve in your life.

Do you mean taking success/well being seriously? If so I would say 21. Eventually realized that if I want to accomplish great things, sitting on my ass hoping for the best isn't the way to go.

For me it was when kids who graduated high school after me were graduating college before me. Spent too much time wasting time. I take my business and obligations very serious but I don't take myself that serious.
