I have some male friends who are extremely serious about settling down because they want to start a family and are looking forward to fatherhood.

So around what age do you think that feeling hits men? Curious to see if there's a consensus.

Prally not the norm, but in my case 15-16.

I understand why that was tho, my lack of paternal reference psychologically burned the idea of "fathering" into my mind. I thought about it alot. Until I framed some goals for myself that a family would infringe upon. I really did want to be a father young tho, I wanted a son specifically...had the name and everything.:mjcry:

I started thinking about having kids in the future at the age of 22 but, now at 24 I'm not so sure I want to have them in this anti black and bizarre era we're in today.

You have to be more specific.. what are you talking about exactly? When we first think about what it would feel like to be a father? Probably as earliest as we can comprehend what fatherhood is.

Now the yearning to be a father? At 22 I haven't really felt it yet. I know I want to be a father in the future, but I've never had some sort of feeling like i want to be a father... other then sexual energy and wanting to have sex with a woman ie procreate.
