I want to say Gamecube, but Eternal Darkness and Twilight Princess came out on it, so they were still trying to push out solid titles. The nail in the coffin was the Wii....it took them 2 years to release classics like Super Punch Out, Donkey Country, etc...so they could push out bowling and tennis. So much fail straight out the box.

They peaked with the SNES, but the Wii is where I would say they fell off.

At least the GameCube had Melee, Metroid Prime, Paper Mario 2, F-Zero, and a decent selection of 3rd party gems (Resident Evil 4, Tales of Symphonia, Soul Calibur 2, Viewtiful Joe). IMO the cube was underrated. It wasn't seeing the PS2, but that machine is still a top 3, maybe top 2 console of all time.

The wii is where they lost me, with the exception of the Mario Galaxies ( :banderas: ) They started pandering way too hard to non gamers with the Wii era IMO.

... And Smash Bros Brawl was :scusthov: outside of the modded versions.

Edit: I should have specified, the PS2 is a top 3/top 2 console of all time.

So many negative Nintendo threads. I bet if the NX outsold PS4/XB1 you'd all be quiet like church mice.
I'd be happy dude. I'm a huge Nintendo fan. I'm like @teacher only not lame as fukk. They're the GOAT developer. They just have an awful business model for consoles.

:mjlol: go sit down Ronald Mcdonald

The correct answer to this question is the N64 from a market share point of view which is the only objective point of view. The Wii was successful because it brought people that didn't traditionally console game, which was short lived due to lack of quality motion party games and the target audience being casual as fukk

The fall of started with N64 IMO. That's when they stuck with outdated cartridges and started pushing away 3rd party developers. I was dumb and brand loyal and still copped a Gamecube. :snoop:

With handhelds, it was the DS. That shyt was a gimmick...I had one of those too. :snoop:

gamecube is when they stopped making fun games for all ages and focused on kid games.

If the NX's unified development thing is true, then that would suggest that the usual piff that comes to Nintendo handhelds would all be on the NX too which imo is direly needed. There's usually WAY too many games on the 3DS that the Wii U should've had.

Nintendo deserves what happened. They used to rule the industry and not only did they engineer their own demise but their hubris created the competitor that now dominates the industry. They thought they could do whatever they wanted and they could dictate how things in the industry played out and they were wrong.
