At what point did Pharrell and Chad start splitting the production credits up?

It was 2007 because American Gangster was just Pharrell but Pharrell was credited as The Neptunes...

In 2008 Chad and Kenna worked on Ashlee Simpson's Bittersweet and it was just Chad and Kenna...no Neptunes...

In 2008 the album Hard Candy by Madonna came out and it was just Pharrell but credited as the Neptunes...

Basically Pharrell was carrying on the Neptunes name for a while...and dropped it...

I think 2008 is the last time you see the Neptunes being credited until Snoop Dogg's Bush.

Well, I think also u naturally grow apart because of life. Most people start to have families and are occupied with that and the day to day that brings, so u're not gonna be in the studio with that writing and producer partner like u were before getting married and having seeds.

Things just change.

I remember Pharrell said a long time ago how Chad wanted to fall back and really spend time with his family.

not even tired.. you grow

it's cool to be together with your boy every day in the teens and 20s.. when you 30, both mega rich, both produce, both have families, both travel... you damn near impossible to get them both to lock in for sessions. most you get is that emailing beats back and forth, but it will never equal them in studio for hours


same thing i see with a lot of producer groups... once they blow, it's hard to get them both in studio, for hours, to work on beats like before
