Now who else wanna fukk with Hollywood Court?
:childplease: I still believe under the right conditions I could have gone to the NFL. I've always been ridiculously athletic. Even now, I do about 100 push ups in a good week and I'm still cut up. 5-10, 185 w/ like 2% body fat.

2% Body fat?

Went to Prep Stars my Junior Year

I thought i was balling, dunk on Chris Hobbs that ended up signing with Clemson, pinned Marcus Melvin's layup to the glass

But when they give you them scouting ratings after its over, it was way too many 2's and 3's on there and a 0 in help defense

How the fukk is that even possible, i know i stuck my hand in there at least once ...:smugfavre: well maybe not

I had a decent senior year but the only schools that was looking at me were hbcu's and they would only give me a scholarship if i ran track as well. I hated track so i passed (like a damn dumbass)

lmao @ 100 pushups in a GOOD week. nikka in my prime I used to do 1000 pushups in an HOUR.

I was nowhere near 2% body fat during that time too.

That's my point, bruh, I'm a natural animal. I don't really work out that often. I eat healthy half the time, but stayed cut my whole life. I'm a solid 185. I was hoopin at the Y a couple weeks ago w/ this young cat I know. Dude looks bigger than me. He's twice as wide as me. I was 185, he was 175. shyt blew both our minds 'cause dude looks way bigger than me.

But to answer the question of the OP, I would have to say "never" because I've never been in a situation. It wasn't athleticism that kept me from being a professional athlete. Like a 7 foot real estate agent can't say it was height that kept him out of the NBA.

You were subpar? and that there were human beings out there much bigger x much faster x much more coordinated than you and your weak genetics

In 9th grade I though I was screwed in basketball because I was too short and hadn't had my growth spurt. Then the next year I did, and I was fine again.

My freshman year in college I felt like I was slower, weaker, and less skilled than damn near everyone on the football team. So I worked my ass off in the weight room and on the track and on the practice field and made huge gains.

After I blew out my knee I knew I'd never fully gain my hops back. But I worked as hard as I could in physical rehab, pushed through some setbacks, and eventually got back to the point where I was stronger, faster, and more fit than nearly everyone else on the courts, even if I'd never get back my full right-leg lift again.

Really, I never doubted myself athletically until the faulty meniscus surgery (same issue as D-Wade but with a lot less money to work on it) started taking its toll and my knee began swelling up every time I played. At 28 I had to quit basketball for good.

But until then, every time I came up short, I knew I could work my ass off and bring myself up to par. Athletically my body just always responded to training.

*sigh*

It was 2002. I'm playing rec center ball with some of my boys and Iggy comes through with his crew. I don't remember if that was his freshman or sophomore year. Basically it was just him and some scrubs, only one other guy besides him was taller than me (5'10").

So we're taking the ball down the court, I get open, the ball gets passed to me and I hit a 3 (basically luck, I'm horrible at basketball).

Iggy calls for a switch and decides to defend me.

Breh....

...

Breh.... :wow:

I have never been so embarrassed in my life. I'll spare you the details, but basically he "stole" my shot out of midair about 4x. I mean the fukker didn't even have the decency to give me a clean block, he straight palmed my shyt as soon as it left my hands. :sadcam: I didn't get the ball passed to me anymore after that.

At the end of the game, dude walks up to me and says, "Don't feel bad. I'm waaaaay bigger and waaaaaay stronger than you. Good game. :jawalrus:"

I never played again.

Never had unrealistic expectations. I ran track though and that always made me feel good because I faster than 95% of the ppl around me and none expected it. I won bets against loud nigguh who thought they were fast. From there I used my speed and endurance to help me in other sports. It was really convenient in baseball. I had great range in outfield and if I got on base, i was a nuisance on the bags.

I was too small for football. I got playing time in the field but they always put me in special teams and I hated special teams. They had me as a gunner, never let me attempt to return a kickoff during and I even returned two returns for a tad during practice. Football was frustrating because I was already well known in track and field and think the coaches used that to try to make me a specialty player, maybe they were just looking out for me but it was frustrating.

Basketball at 5”11 was fun for me even with my limitations because I was fast and could go past to coast in 5 if nobody stopped my progress. I just wasn’t a passer. That’s why I respect the Lebrons and harden of the world. Being a facilitator ain’t easy and can easily lead to turnover and they almost always did when I was passing in the half court

I was a beast at football but around puberty I realized I wasn't gonna be big and sturdy enough. Cats who can take the beating of football and not get injured get a triple salute from me. Russell Wilson is only 5'10 but dude is built like a rock, got big hands and wrists, etc. You gotta have that type of frame to have a long, healthy career.

I have small bone structure/frame, I woulda been D Rose status by the last preseason game :deadrose:.....and that sucks cuz I have speed, agility and strength....just injury prone and not big enough to take the hits in the long run.

I say this in full honesty....at no point after I turned 16 was I anything less than one of the top three players on a football field. In HS, at OU, at arena ball, or semi pro. My failures were self inflicted laziness and taking my talent for granted while others worked harder. :mjcry:

The first few pages of this thread is pure comedy

:russ:

I'm very fast and agile, so I thought I could hang with the sprinters when I was in middle school and got dusted...though even now that I'm close to 30 I'm still one of the fastest guys in any given pick up game.

Also, I went to high school with a championship football team and was dumbfounded how some of those dudes were my age but had bodies of grown men. And I say grown, but they were bigger and stronger than that TBH.
