Zero issue. Most of the black militant groups we idolize actively recruited black men who served. Garvey got on the government's shyt list in large part due to hiring black WW1 vets to protect black businesses and infrastructure. Vietnam vets were recruited by the Black Panther Party and some people believe the draft was ended in part to stop this.

I was willing to go but my tattoos would have prevented me then. Now, they don’t care. I tell my son, after he graduates from college, go to the AF or Navy do those 4 years to start as an officer to set himself up for life plus pay for his law school.

I remember my first duty station as an E-Nothing, I was in the shop listening to these two E-6’s arguing about doing some simple shyt.

They must’ve argued for what felt like forever (white too), and I was just sitting there listening until I got fed up and just said “Gotdamn, I’ll do it then “.. gave them both the look of disgust and they didn’t say shyt. And of course, I did the shyt and it was as easy as I played it out in my head.

What most people didn’t know is that I came in already certified since HS.. and I don’t even like computers I just like fixing shyt.

My point is, motherfukkers don’t like to work and it’s becoming much more obvious now. shyt leadership helped get rid of all the real leaders and talent, now a lot of places are a shytshow.. and it rolls downhill. Look at where we are now as a society.

Military is a tool and a good one if used correctly. So fukk your respect my nikka.. respectfully. Military was one of the most exciting things I’ve ever done, and had great experiences outside of the negative shyt that eventually got me put out. My issues have always been other people

And if you grew up around gunshots, people getting killed around you and etc, it’s nothing special or new. I wanted to gain a lot of knowledge in a variety of different, realworld subjects/situations and I did that. I wanted money for Art School and I did that. I wanted certs for IT and I did that. Wanted to travel to places I would’ve never been able to or thought about on my own and I did that.

And of course, I wanted to fukk every type of chick I could and I did that too. shyt was better than college to me

Yeah I recommend everyone to join at least the Air Force or Navy. You'll get a decent job that transfers on the outside after your term is up. Plus the GI Bill and the VA loan are worth it in itself. Not to mention that disability pay

This is what I mean when I say motherfukkers are lazy as hell. All that training makes you QUALIFIED to do multiple things once you are done, but most people don’t seem to critically think about shyt like that. You also get educational benefits but know a ton of people who get out and don’t do shyt, just go back to bumming it or do shyt like doordash.


Military is just a stepping stone to other shyt. Like i’ve said before, my biggest issue with the military was trash leadership and trash customs that were pointless, as well as this classism between enlisted and retarded ass officers. They don’t be thinking. I work in banking. Top business schools will value your experience almost moreso than they do regular work experience. You can get an MBA from a top school if you play your cards right. But even without an MBA, companies like vets regardless. Especially old cacs that are higher up. A guy that I came in my company with (around the same time), made it into management 2-3 years before everyone else. He was a cac so our mileage may vary but it definitely felt like he was on the fast track even compared to the other white males there. He was Navy IIRC, and I know he milked that shyt as much as he could
