At what point does a Niche sport become Mainstream

due to team construction and player visibilty baseball doesnt have true superstars that transcend past america but baseball is definitely more popular than basketball breh

maybe in 20 more years that wont be the case but right now yes.

I don't want to derail this thread, but basketball is more popular globally than baseball is. It's not particularly close. We can move along now.

I'd say baseball has a stranglehold on the latin islands and a big part of south america, but there is no doubt basketball is more of a global sport now than baseball is.
