max was brought into the game properly. he popped off from the start. he was introduced via the baby girl/g's up video. he popped right away. then there was jones' "city of god" mixtape and "diary of a summer" album. all this was before MOB and even before "you gotta love it".

niccas dont even mention the blues brothers mixtape with him & jones on here. honestly, i dont think i sat down and heard it(there was so much dipset related tapes, unofficial tapes & best-ofs at the time. this one slipped thru the cracks) so i dont know if it was a real tape or something that some random dj put together in his basement.

i admit, i liked max back then, but i didnt know that byrd gang was seperate from dipset until later on. so i was thinking like, "how is this nicca getting all this shine fresh out of jail, when writer, rell, 40, etc aint gettin no tick?". once i realized that max wasnt signed to diplomat, i was ridin the wave.

I remember thinking dude was terrible on the City of God mixtape, but that shyt must have been mixed horribly.

When the Million Dollar Baby stuff dropped, I jumped on board.

Soon after that...Members of Byrdgang :shaq:

Max popped nationally when the blogosphere/internet culture got behind him so like 08/09.

Whenever he dropped PD3 and that classic come up DVD rant.

Stacks stole the show on those MOB tapes in NY. Everybody was all about Stack during that time.

Its when Max broke off from byrdgang and started his own campaign and assault on Jim that the wave started blowing up.

The mixtapes, the vlogs, the low budget music videos, the comedy, the roasting, the swag, the wrestling-esque promo's.

Max may damn near be the first street rapper to properly utilize the internet to get buzzing like that.
