Supernatural beings such as God are simply not relevant from an empirical point of view because they do not add anything to our knowledge of the universe.

:mjlol: So why are they busy trying to open up portals to other dimensions?

Extra dimensions, gravitons, and tiny black holes | CERN

Knowing anything about the universe or its creation ADDS to our knowledge of the universe. How can you say knowing something about the universe ("supernatural beings" would be part of the universe obviously)somehow adds nothing to our knowledge of the universe? Alot of atheists are like the religious folk they like to mock. Denying anything and everything their god (science) didnt say was true.

Dimensions refer to spatial dimensions, we're not talking about the sci-fi concept of alternative dimensions (which would be alternative universes) but rather that in addition to height, width, and depth there might be something else called ular or iqos that affect the smallest bits of matter but won't affect stuff our size.

Say God exist.
Now what?

Do we stop verifying experimental results?
Do we stop peer-reviewing the work of other researchers?
Does it actually change any of the theories we have?

Nope, nope, and nope.
The existence, or non-existence, of God isn't relevant because our understanding of the universe doesn't need a supernatural beings. You don't need a God to make rain fall, or to cause chemical reactions, or to test new medicines, or to invent even smaller circuits, and so on.

People speculate that the force that is causing the universe to expand is dark energy

That doesn't help you.

If you keep sliding your definition without defining something, then you're not talking about anything.
what? all i'm saying is maybe God is a sum total of everything in existence if you wanted to quantify God...

I don't play with "might"

Just say you don't know and keep it moving.

You keep shifting the definition when the old definition doesn't work anymore.

When we find life on Mars, will you say god put it there? Will you say its christian?

Where does the guessing end and where does your proving of your assertions begin?

maybe because the concept of God is ambiguous to begin with?

except it's not.

The definition of God:
1. (in Christianity and other monotheistic religions) the creator and ruler of the universe and source of all moral authority; the supreme being.
2. (In certain other religions) a superhuman being or spirit worshiped as having power over nature or human fortunes; a deity.

If you guys want to worship nature or ambiguous energy then just say that. But that's not what these religions are saying God is.

When people claim that God is nature/energy/whatever and since we have evidence of nature/energy/whatever then that proves that God exists, they are just applying labels to things they can rationally believe in because they are afraid to say that they don't believe in God.
