John Brisker

The man was such a lunatic that his own team had to hire some muscle in an attempt to control him. During practices, coach dikk Tinkham (great name) brought in an ex-football player whose sole job was to flatten Brisker the first time he got out of line. When Brisker proved to be too tough, the football player declared that he was going to the locker room to get his gun. Brisker was fine with that, since that gave him time to go to his locker and get his gun. Tinkham decided to cancel practice for the day.

Brisker received a reputation as one of the most volatile players in basketball. According to his Condors teammate Charlie Williams, “He was an excellent player, but say something wrong to the guy and you had this feeling he would reach into his bag, take out a gun and shoot you.”[1] He was ejected so often for fighting that he was nicknamed "the heavyweight champion of the ABA." The Condors made much of Brisker's reputation as an enforcer; their media guide portrayed him wearing a pair of six-shooters.

In 1978, Brisker went to Uganda, either as a mercenary, guest of Idi Amin, or both. After April of that year, he was never heard from again. Speculation is that he was executed by a firing squad, quite possibly the most manly of all deaths this side of death by excessive p*ssy getting

read up on him as a player .... but his numbers plunged from 26 a game to 11 a game after the merger...don't know enough about that time to comment any further on that...but it sounded like he could play today if he wanted. could the merger and/or production drop could have influenced his behavior?

I live in the Dallas area, and without doing to much dry snitching, there was a dude I use to hang out with years ago, who swore to me up and down that Hurd at that work. He use to run with a dude I know moved weight...said them nikkas was out talking to some people who knew some people...and one of them people ended up being Sam fukking Hurd...said Hurd told them nikkas "I can move whatever, I can front whatever...just give me everything you got"
