Ain't no rapper really official in dem streets. It's self-contradicting. You can't be official in the streets and be rappin' about your street business at the same time. And no official street dude (e.g. E Moneybags, Calvin Klein, J Prince, Harry O) etc. is going to start rappin' when he's makin' bank in the streets. You have guys like 50 Cent or Camron or Jay Z, who have been in the streets, but not no official nikka. To be frank, very few official nikkaz, left, most of them dead or in jail, I credit the skinny jean trend to all the real g's not being in the hood anymore :to:
I think the thread asks if he was doing things in the street and if he's still has some respect (in that regard) due to his rep.

And I think people can rap and be in the streets at the same time, perhaps not commercially successful dudes but we had cats like Blue Davinci.

You beat me to it, Shawty Lo was official in the streets of the ATL. T.I. squashed the beef cause he knew Lo was heavily connected in the streets of the A. He was not gonna win that one at all.
TI won the beef

Who also went to jail, and lucked out he didn't get more time, I'll just leave it at that, no dry snitching here :birdman: You can't be bragging about your criminal activities and be heavy in the streets for long breh.

50 certified breh. Lol if anything he is one of the most legit street dudes to ever pick up a mic.

He was really clapping nikkas and debo'ing his way around the hood. There's countless hood tales involving 50. His story is verified by friends and foes :manny:

Here's the thing though
1. You are dumb if you try to rap and move work at the same time, not for the exposure but for the unnecessary amount of variables added to the equation
Which leads to
2. How long can you be heavy in the street and dumb at the same time? Even if you are smart how long can you be heavy in the streets on average..
Which leads to
3. How can we know that people actually flip bricks until they get caught or cats snitch on them and cosign their stories?

So statistically speaking we can't really tell if they are getting caught cause they are dumb or cause they are rapping.

People think Big Meech was fukking up cause he was flashing in the clubs and all that, they were so large scale that the FEDS already knew about them since the early 90s. They built cases for years, failed several times but succeeded in the end. Why? Not cause of Meech, but because of his "low-key brother" who was in another state and a bunch of rats.

Rats man I swear bro. The main one was Diddy's cousin, and all he got for ratting out the whole organization was a 3 year reduction (7 instead of 10 years) :beli: Nikkaz is made out of tissue paper these days. With that being said, let's not act like this sh*t didn't give the Feds extra motivation:

Maybe it did but nots that enough to convict them, or even charge them with anything.
At the end of the daym 99% of the time, snitches is what breaks and organization down, not being flamboyant and flashy. Tbr if u flashin yo cash in clubs and shyt, u should worry more about jacc boys and grimey as hoz den u should the police
