In the Midwest and the East coast, we are dealing with record cold weather.

It got cold tonight here in Birmingham. It was like 50 degrees today, now it's 25 now. I'm pretty sure it's not going to snow tonight, it may tomorrow but it will be flurries at the most. The main thing is the cold weather because if it's cold like this for 2 or more nights in a row we have to worry about water pipes bursting.

it's not the snow that bothers me. it's the ice. last time we had a "bad" winter storm down here it shut down the city for a full week. 2" of ice across all of metro atl and not one salt or gravel truck was on any of the roads or highways on the south side of the city. it's like the dot just sat back and said fukk it we'll wait for it to melt. but mother nature was like and the sh1t didn't melt for a week. the estimates were a billion dollars in business lost cause all the cars down here have summer tires and no ice chains.


pics from my driveway when we had the last ice storm 2 years ago. it was like this all over the city and worse in some areas. not to mention all the trees brought down by the ice and the power outages. doubt it will be anywhere near this bad...at least i hope not.
