I guess I should be happy that Houston's idiot weathermen (and woman) totally blew their forecast looking at the work Atlanta is getting. On the other hand I wasted two vacation days in preparation for something like this and I'm not too happy about it.

I only live about 5 minutes from my job.... It took me 45 minutes to get home (LIGHT compare to others I know) ... but my point is..... at no point during that trip did I hit the gas... not one single time did my foot hit that pedal... I just skated the whole way

Just from an infrastructural standpoint, we're ill prepared to handle snow and ice....

WE KNOW that we're ill prepared for snow and ice... the problem only comes when we pretend that we ARE.

Also, dealing with snow >>>>>>>>> dealing with ice.... because youre just sliding right over it.

And lastly, ATL is really hilly/mountainous and that causes for even more chaos

This general on CNN was about to spit that real. Atlanta government is extremely decentralized. The mayor only speaks for the city. In NYC, the mayor speaks for the entire metro.

He educated a lot of people who aren't from or never been to that area (like me).
