Why do y’all always think that gated community means you are safe from the BS?
Before I committed to moving to Atlanta. I was looking for a gated community and when I actually visited and talked to my people who were already there in the area said after dark , it turns into a trap. shyt be looking nice on the realtor website and during the day but a different animal at night.

With door dash prevalent. Everyone knows the gate codes now.
Depends on the community. My house is in a gated community also.

The cars for residents have stickers that make the gates open automatically. There is a code you give guests or directory they can look you up in. You have to press a key after talking to them to allow them in though.

Owners do have a backup automatic code that makes the gate open. They are pretty on top of usage here at least i agree in gen though

If you have an iPhone put an air tag on it , did the cops call your insurance company to get your phone number ?

True for some places, but not mines. It’s pretty quiet here. It’s actually very quiet. No issues at all until this.

Good question. They probably did. He said he ran my plates and got my info. I’m not sure if phone numbers pop up when they do that.

We have a app that opens the gate. There is no gate code. Your guest would have to call you to be let in.

Sorry @Rockstar Mom. Hope you can get your car squared away quickly. You just recently relocated down here, too, right? Atlanta as it is now seems to be a different beast altogether.

I've got to say, gated communities have never made me feel particularly safe because I have never seen the gates either consistently manned or functioning. I only see that consistently up in Alpharetta, Dunwoody and other areas told North Fulton/Dekalb/Gwinnett.

Never had a car stolen. I don't know what I would do if I did. I hate thieves. I hate to think of what might happen to them. :demonic:

That's if you catch them. You might not be as willing to fight for it as you think...but I don’t know about you :patrice:

It is a violating feeling though...can't really describe it. You come outside and see busted glass where your car used to be. shyt sucks.

Who said it did? But it’s a reasonable expectation that I shouldn’t have to worry about certain things, when there’s gates, security cameras, and an actual security guard keeping watch(allegedly).
I thought you were planning to move to cobb county a few months ago. This isn't a problem up there:mjpls:

If I walked out in the middle of somebody stealing my car.... let me just say...

Can buy a tracker for your car so you can know where it is

Remember that it works on wifi so if I park near your apt , you might be able to see your car move away on your phone
