Tank the season and select the best offensive lineman or pass rusher available. Gonzalez money comes off the books so use that money get whichever position you didn't select with the 1st pick. We are 8 million under the cap right now and have 11 million in dead money from Dunta Robinson, Ray Edwards, Michael Turner, and John Abraham. That's 19 million that can be used on a TE and more defenders.
The Falcons aren't really that bad, it's just that you can't do shyt when the lines are the weakness of your team. If we get one solid offensive lineman we can shift the bums around to make it serviceable.

and thats the thing, if you get paid so much, you better be able to nearly win games by yourself. hence why this type of money only elite qbs like peyton, rodgers, brees, brady should get. these are the guys who can make it happen on offense without weapons. it wont be easy and they probably wont win in playoffs, but they can take over games
matt ryan is a really good qb who still needs weapons and oline for offense to put up numbers. he isnt in that godly HoF-bound tier and most likely will never be. but if he needs weapons and oline...he isnt worth that money.

ok you boost your oline. you still need a good RB provided sjax bounces or retires. need a decent TE because loss of tony is HUGE. then you need actual defense. mike nolan is a good dcoord, but he cannot function without pass rush. and yall have none. abraham was having fun with ryan today btw.
this is a team that has tons of holes imo. the only things you got set for next few years is ryan and julio.
this team was in win-now mode for these few years and the window is pretty much shut imo
Yeah, our line was bad last year and we still won, it just wasn't as bad as it is now and we were healthy everywhere else. You can't win with a bad line, and the following are injured...2 star receivers, running back, OT, 2 linebackers, DE, and FB. That's a lot of fukking injuries to overcome. Aaron Rodgers couldn't do shyt with the line we have now.

We got hit HARD by injuries this year. Season is pretty much a wrap. We're 3rd in the division right? We'd have to go on a miracle run at this point and I don't see it.
